Always depends on the ability of the manager, MW failed to get the best out if the poor squad he assembled. Over coaching a player needs two factors, 1. The manager doesn't recognise natural ability and therefore stifles the players main assets of attacking in the final third say - but rather substite/dilute that for a more defensive display. 2. The player is weak and allows their main asset to be compromised - thus losing confidance, belief and heart (McKay). Courage is one word to use to describe the qualities McKay needs to develop. I would use determination and aggression. As stated before I don't expect him to fly into tackles, however his displays over the last 12/18mnths highlighted a lack of determination and certainly aggression. Jack was the stand out for me, we've really been missing a good solid CDM. He was always available and made good angles to support the back four and ensured he covered them all well. Maybe could've got a goal himself, I reckon as his confidence grows he'll be the stand out player for the forthcoming season and future captain. Niko was different class for the 50/55mins. Looked shattered after 20mins tho lol

Consistency and attitude are the missing ingredients for Barrie imo. When he shows up, he is unplayable - but watching him in some games he looks dis-intrested. If he is indeed refusing to sign a new contract, we are clearly forcing his hand and hopefully attracting further interest. Needs to be a decent fee though for him.
