I've just had a (half-hour!) chat with Carol about everything we're up to.
Once again she passes on her thanks, but in particular she wanted to thank us again for making John's Wish on the Wishing Wall come true. She was telling me a bit more about John. He's 96, and sadly he doesn't take much active interest in any of the Recreational Activities that are always going on at Erskine.
Except one - anything that involves going to see Rangers, and he's out the door before you can say "grab your scarf"
Carol wanted me to try to get across to you how important these match tickets have been to Erskine Park, because without them, the staff would struggle to find anything else that would engage John so readily.

John will hopefully be able to attend the RDF Fundraising Night at Ibrox too. He's certainly looking forward to it.
Which reminds me - we had reserved 10 tickets for Erskine for the RDF Fundraising Night.
But then it occurred to me that 9 Passengers plus a driver left 2 empty seats on their Bus - which seemed like a missed opportunity.
So we'll now be buying 12 tickets instead, and making sure the bus is full.

In our own hands and we manage to go and royally fuck it up mainly thanks to Captain Fantastic.
As for the youths under McCoist, the only one of any note given a serious chance was MacLeod; a player who would have been in the team even if Stevie Wonder was our manager. Even at that, he latterly and for a good chunk of his tenure with us he was played totally out of position. For some reason known only to himself he seemed to persist with Aird after he had given him umpteen games to prove himself able at this level and work on his technique, neither of which he managed.

At least McCall has made a fist of management elsewhere. This is all still largely down to the wage thief make no mistake.

I think it's more the fact that we play a natural CB at right back in order to accommodate a 36 year old over giving the boy his chance that frustrates folk.

Just shows you that the young boys are actually good. Just think back to last season when the youth team beat hearts in the cup final when the hearts side contained the majority of their first team that had been playing quite well in the spl. These last 3 years have been a real waste but hopefully the youngsters get a lot of game time now

Much better second half way to make sure McCullough does not fuck up is to keep the ball in there half and with the quicker paced youngsters we can press higher.
