  1. I mean more in the context of rich owners who had no previous interest in the sport buying them, and taking them out of the reach of the average fan. Be interesting to see what happens in Englsh football when the inevitable happens and the rich owner gets fed up with 'soccer' and moves onto his next big plaything.
  2. The current Man City and Chelsea epitomise everything that's wrong in football from a financial perspective.
  3. Still decent value though m8, especially when you consider we pay a comparable amount to go to the likes of Tynecastle/Easter Road. What about the transport bit. Is that true?
  4. If you go into the 'visuals' section of this; My link it states that "On average, Germans only pay ~22€ for their Bundesliga tickets. Transportation to and from the stadium by train or bus is included in the ticket."
  5. You can fool some of the people all of the time. You can fool all of the people some of the time. But you can only fool a bigot until they get beat off Rangers.
  6. Unfortunately, we won't be able to judge Bangura's second season at Parkhead as he's signing for a big club down south.
  7. Stop behaving like the Tims. You're the manager of Chelsea.
  8. How enjoyable would it be though m8? Lennon sacked and we're not even out of September.
  9. Quite interestingly, a few of them over on KDS are starting to ask when he's going to hold his hands up and admit things are his fault as opposed to continually blaming the players. How amusing is that? The only people in the world to be fooled by him are now starting to have their doubts.
  10. It's not about 'style of football' or if you 'think' so and so's a better manager than Fergie, it's got to be about achievements because, as fans, we know that's the be all and end all. For sheer longevity, and his achievements, and to do it with one of the world's leading club over such an extended period is remarkable. Particularly with the pace of change that's happened since he took over. He's had to adapt to a style that's seen the balance of power swing from the club/manager firmly to the player. In time, though I doubt they will, a Mourinho or a Guardiola may accrue more honours, but there's no doubt it would be done over a spread of Clubs.
  11. Longevity. Look it up in a dick sean 'arry.
  12. True. His teams shite. As arsenal and Chelsea have found to their cost. And his worth must be judged on your opinion of his current 11. Disregard everything that's gone before.
  13. Fergie won a European trophy with Aberdeen.
  14. All good, and pertinent points, JD. Personally, I think that to achieve what he has done tops the lot though due to the changes he's faced in his managerial career. Footballs way different from what the likes of Paisley, etc encountered. He's lived, and been successful, through the most rapid period of change that football's ever seen. And he's still a winner. Plus he's fucked numerous superstar after numerous superstar after another and replaced them easily on most occasions.
  15. Has there ever been a better football manager in the world than this man?
  16. Anyway Lenny, I've had a long day, time for bed now. I'd just like to reflect on 3 (about to be 4) seasons of stupidity from your Club and, in particular, your support who've continually highlighted the financial limitations we've had to work within. They've continually focused on how threadbare our squad is, how you're a better team than us, how we've no money. You've continually picked fights with the SFA, referees, the media, other clubs, other clubs managers and, in your case Lenny, other clubs supporters. Those above you have deflected their shortcomings by, in the first instance, appealing to the lowest common denominator in your support by appointing you as their manager and by continually backing your management style as it covered up their failings. And you, and your support fell for it. You've abused our players, management and belittled our support. You've come out and supported the most moronic captain in the history of your Club. You have, basically, endorsed a 'Buckfast' style of management. And, for me, it's been fantastic.
  17. Well, here's a wee taster; "Absolutely pathetic and no copper in sight to do something about it. Where's NBM? Salmond? Graham? Les Gray? Supremacism at its best. The only grace today is that the H*** are a shower of useless, bigoted cretins and that's hardly news either." Does the above quote, lifted from a poster on KDS, relate to ; (a) the stabbing of a Celtic fan, (b) a fan running from the East Enclosure and attacking wee Lenny, or, © the displaying of a banner saying "We are the people".
  18. Younger. Fitter. Faster. Runners Up.
  19. That's the problem surrounding this guy though, NOTHING is ever his fault. Whether it be on the park, off the park, in his personal life, when he's socialising, a Xmas night out in Newcastle, a night out in Glasgow, religion, etc it's ALWAYS someone else's fault.
  20. Come on, he's got to be a Bear surely? Barnes, Mowbray, Brady, the latter stages of Strachan's reign? He's on course to outdo them all. We may be financially stricken but there's no doubt that they're the team in decline. No amount of bluffing in front of the cameras a la Lawells performance can, surely, fool the great unwashed anymore? Lennon never was the man to manage them but was cut an INCREDIBLE amount of slack because of.......well, we know what, but I can't say it for fear of being arrested. They are rank rotten, their finances may well balance, but they appear to have no money to spend. They are starting to turn on you Lenny. And it's fantastic to watch.
