  1. I'm not convinced. VAR has been as big a mess in England and the standard of refereeing is only marginally better. I'm not impressed by European referees in our games there either. I would rather referees had to declare which team they supported or had supported in the past.
  2. Yeah there have been protests. Plenty of them. There was one in Glasgow as recently as the start of October.
  3. Can't believe how totally lacking in resilience we are some days. These players are better than this.
  4. Exactly this. Literally gone backwards. What's going on here?
  5. Never will I understand threads like this I am bearly able to tolerate them at the best of times without being asked to consider choosing one of them over a man who is in the payment of Rangers.
  6. No. Exciting, tense and entertaining, but not a success. Ffs we were champions and threw away a 6 point lead and lost out to a shite team of try hards. Any season we don't win the league has to be looked at as a failure unless there's a European trophy. Accepting 2nd place or runners up is for losers. Fuck that.
  7. The game management is chaotic. We do not have players comfortable under pressure enough to sit on a goal lead and soak up aggression. Opponents recognise that and don't let up. This result will have implications for future games. Gutted we let it come to this.
  8. Do we maybe have to accept his grip on reality is tenuous and he's just...well...a bit mental...like actually mad?
  9. If he'd signed for us he'd be the same player doing the same things in a Rangers jersey and we'd love it. I hate him simply cos he plays for them but I fully understand we absolutely need a player like that at centre mid.
  10. I wwould expect nothing less from them, and I don't agree we've been kept in line. Fuck, I was there when we did the mock huddle at their place. Happy days. So boo hoo. Dry your eyes.
  11. Overall I thought there was some signs of progress. The result wasn't acceptable, and we dropped off in the second half, but I thought we looked capable of competing. We made a game of it in the first half, but looking at it player for player, it's difficult to see another outcome. What I want to see is evidence of consolidation and building on the things we do well. We're not bad at the back and we have a bit of pace. I'm still not convinced by the manager, but I do believe he gives a shit and wants to do well for the support.
  12. Fucks sake. Just an opinion. First 15 minutes we pressed well. Players couldn't sustain it. Ultimately, system was wrong. A poor defence was unprotected - needed 2 sitting. Left space down left which was exploited continually. We lacked fitness, beleaguered by 60th minute, but not because they didn't care. Caixhina needs to be given whatever is available and then have failed before a negative opinion is fully justified. IMO.
  13. I actually think they tried. Just not good enough players. They got the breaks once momentum was with them. I like Caixhina and with a bit of investment...
  14. I'll say this for him, he's fat as fuck.
  15. I'm happy to give the guy time. Didn't appreciate the mutual admiration society show at the end, but I think that can be put down to Caixinha being a little naïve. I think he has something about him. I also keep imagining him with a huge fucking cigar and a smile for some reason. Maybe that's just a premonition? I think he'll do alright.
  16. Lol. You just reminded me of something I'd long since fogotten. It was about 30 years ago during a P7 schools 11 aside game. I came on as a sub, having spent the first half keeling at the touchline under a parka jacket with another guy and wondering what the f**k I was doing. The manager (janitor) put me on about 10 mins into the second half, and the first thing I did was to charge down a centre half who simply blootered the ball as I got to him. I turned away and trapped the ball with my ear. I had no idea that one person could experience so much pain in such a concentrated area. However, I had to make a decision whether to cry or not. Of course, I booted the big centre half up the arse. He did cry, which was ironic, and also made me feel better. His teammates were disgusted with him and the ref (janitor) had turned away, so clearly I chose the correct path.
  17. Buying games now and again is no use to the business plan. Season tickets provide income up front, so if you can afford one please buy it
  18. This investigation seems like a pointless exercise. I think Green has blundered his way into this with a poor show in the last two weeks, but I don't think he's done anything seriously wrong. An independent investigation commissioned by the board will be derided and be used to muddy the waters by the various halfwits lined up against the club. Does anyone seriously expect anything damaging to emerge from this? Even if that's simply because there is nothing to reveal, the lack of a damning outcome will be portrayed as a whitewash across the media with carefully chosen words. Green can't win here and neither can the club. F**k the lot of them. Carry on with business as usual and let those who want to investigate from outside the club do so, and ignore them.
  19. I'm extremely disappointed with Green's remarks, but not surprised. Just more noise from a guy who likes his own voice. A number of posters have suggested that Paki is akin to Scot. Had it not been a term that was generally used disparagingly, and frequently followed by "b*stard", that would be right, but the fact is that it's a best seen as an ignorant remark used to exclude and to denote Asians, regardless of what country they or their parents originated from. Most "Pakis" in the UK were born here, so the use of the word can't be excused by the claim that it's just the same as saying "Aussie". It's also used despite the fact that "Pakis" parents come from India, Benghal, Bhutan, Afghanistan, Khazakstan etc etc. Green presumably sees his "friend" as less than an equal, or wouldn't feel the need to apply the term. Green thinks skin colour or background is in some way relevant and worthy of comment, and that says all you need to know about him. As for whether it's offensive, I doubt any of the Asians I know would feel offended. This is because they're above it and recognise ignorance for what it is. Doesn't mean they wouldn't rather it stopped.
  20. I think talk of sacking Ally is far too premature. Admittedly I haven't been up this season to see Rangers, but his position is exceptionally difficult no matter how you look at it. This team started the season as strangers to each other and further changes have been made since then. That will change over the next couple of months and while I think we'll struggle in away games I have no doubt we'll win the league and be promoted. Since he came in, Ally's been faced with a series of massive obstacles, and I want him to be given time to get it right, and depending on circumstances, failure to get promoted wouldn't necessarily be reason enough to sack him. For me, Green is the problem I understand many disagree, but I have yet to feel good about this guy and nothing he's done has made me think I'm being harsh. He's tuned in to fan sentiment, and regurgitated what he thinks we want to hear. I don't buy it and I want to know what he has planned.
  21. I'd be really disappointed if this was true after he said he didn't think he'd played his last game for Rangers
  22. Ach away. If you can show me where I said it was "just" I'll accept whatever you have to say.
