  2. My old (highly) amateur team are called the Bengal Lancers, please don't insult them by comparing them to the SPL - unlike that shower of shite we could very easily organize a piss up in a brewery... or anywhere else really We were total chancers however.
  3. From the Herald BLACK AND BOOED Michael Grant and Graeme Macpherson Black and booed Ian Black said he was "disappointed" to be booed by fans on his Scotland debut last night while Craig Levein, the manager, claimed the behaviour was only down to the controversial former Hearts player taking the field at Hibernian's Easter Road, writes Michael Grant and Graeme Macpherson. Scotland's fine 3-1 win over Australia in the final friendly before the first World Cup qualifier against Serbia next month was overshadowed when Black came off the bench 15 minutes from the end. His name was jeered by the 11,000 crowd and then his every touch was also booed. Many supporters had criticised Levein for bringing Black into the squad, just a week after saying it would be difficult for any player in the third division to step up to international standard but it was shocking to hear a Scotland player being subjected to sustained verbal abuse on what should have been a special night in his career. Given that Ryan McGowan, the Australian substitute, was also jeered, the assumption was that Black was heckled by Hibernian supporters as he is a former Hearts player. "It's a bit disappointing when you come here to play for your country and for the fans who are supposed to be supporting you and they do that," said Black. "But I'm big enough to get on with it and I hope I get another opportunity. They're obviously trying to play it down as a Hearts Hibs thing though...
  4. Soooo, when will we find out what state the SPL's official finances are & what notes are included on their 2012 accounts? Confused by most of this tbh, however i'd reckon it would be somewhat more than £196k in the shitter... "Now gentlemen, I have the pleasure of introducing you to Mr Stampy..."
  5. Then in future, we could offer them a couple of hundred tickets in the corner - same as everyone else, as everywhere else in the ground would be season ticket holders. And then shower them in piss.
  6. Chris "Young Fergus McCann" McLaughlin has it pinned on us - ye couldnae make it up "SPL 'has not yet distributed cash' By Chris McLaughlin Senior Football Reporter, BBC Scotland The Scottish Premier League has yet to distribute cash to its member clubs and is unsure when it will be in a position to do so, BBC Scotland has learned. Clubs were due to receive money from sponsorship and broadcasting revenues at the start of this month but have been told they will have to wait. The delay is being blamed on cash flow problems resulting from the summer of uncertainty over Rangers. The problem is also affecting the Scottish Football League. It is due about £2m from the SPL for their annual settlement agreement. Several clubs have already contacted the SPL to find out when they can expect to receive payment, but have been told they cannot be paid until the money comes in. The SPL renegotiated its TV deals with Sky and ESPN after it was decided Rangers would start again in division three. But the league is still waiting for payment from those deals and a number of other top sponsorship contracts. It is understood the SPL is hoping to make a payment of some kind this month but cannot give any specific date or figure. *edit* - missed this on the first page, fanny!
  7. It'll be all our fault of course - maybe CG knew there'd be a few teams in the shit & that's why he's allowing the payments of "historic debt" to drag out... however the SPL would know this too, so why didn't they simply agree to pass on the payment submitted by Rangers to save any delays if they knew teams would be struggling without their shiny penny from SKY etc?
  8. The oldco's still up & running while various investigations are under way - we should launch a fucking civil action for it as we "apparently" still have outstanding debts SPL4 for the rats deserting the sinking SPL ship called dignity - see how many of the cants make it back up through the divisions!
  9. Yep, fuck 'em - heard from a few eyewitness accounts that a plastic bottle containing an unidentified liquid - most probably pish - was chucked into the away support by the dungdee fans in the tier above them & that's when Vladimir et al decided to kick some balls... smart move assholes - any dungdee utd fans traveling to the away leg after this will get mauled. Badly. Even worse than they already would have been.
  10. Dunno about the exact figures however Neil Doncaster has been interviewed on BBC in their SPL kick off countdown page... sauce "BREAKING NEWS Scottish Premier League chief executive Neil Doncaster says the new broadcasting deal agreed today with Sky and ESPN will result in a seven-figure loss for SPL clubs. Doncaster would not be drawn on how much the deal is worth although said he would release the figures at a later date. Quotes to follow..." The fact he's saying it's a 7 figure loss for SPL clubs leads me to think the SFL with their contractual payments from the SPL will end up quids in if they're in line for bonuses regarding the new TV deal... Velee intelesteeng as Piewell might say.
  11. I knew that's what that link would be - single funniest moment in Shooting Stars history!
  12. Dunno if OT - zebrafish, lionfish, firebladefish
  13. The guy on rc actually said that he understood the constant haranguing to renew as he had a mate behind the scenes at porkheid & that's where the figures came from - also apparently why they've increased the allocation for the sheep shaggers... I'd piss myself laughing if their stadium was only half full on the opening day...
  14. On the subject of rc, I caught a few seconds of it in the car whilst flicking through channels there - the guy I heard was a bheast although seemed fairly articulate & was saying how he'd given his st up as he didn't agree with us being fucked over in the name of sporting integrity & could see the wider implications for the future of Scottish football - said he'd been pestered by incessant phone calls, emails etc to renew & understood this was due to them having only sold around 20k st for next season (think he actually said it was less than 20k!) They actually were only there to see the Rangers
  15. Fuck that then - i'll do my best to avoid the score until I wake up tomorrow & check the result - should be a good start to the day & take my mind of the obligatory 10 mile cycle to work in the pishing rain
  16. Is it on tv anywhere guys? Certainly not paying to watch that shite if it's on premier sports or whatever the smouldering ashes of setanta are called these days, however if it's on elsewhere I may tune in for comedy value alone... purely in the interests of sporting integrity of course - we need to know just how fucked the co-efficient will be in 4 years time so we can prepare accordingly...
  17. "Right. The whole thing's fucked - as a parting shot i'm ordering the full cooked breakfast on the SFA credit card... with extra beans" "Fuck sake Petey - that's £8.95 plus another 50p for the extra beans, your insatiable lust for exta chargeable breakfast items could bring the whole of Scottish football to it's knees! Won't you reconsider?" "Naw... gies an extra slice of black puddin as well - we'll blame it on Rangers & use their prize money from last year"
  18. Yep - same way you can park in "private" car parks without fear of punishments unless it categorically states on the sign you will be fined / vehicle will be towed if you do so... Could be a good get out clause... unless there's a big "DO NOT CLIMB UP THE FLOODLIGHTS - EVEN TO INSTIGATE THE SASH WITH A SHOE" sign attached to the base!
  19. I bought a couple of cheap reggae cds from a service station a while back for a drive down south & there was an old mono version of that on it - the strings were much more prominent than the versions you usually hear, irie! Leggo has a deep rooted distrust of reggae. And most other things. Apart from Craig Whyte... well, maybe in retrospect.
  20. So - Charles Green has created a "bogey man" in the form of Regan... who apparently has a "clear agenda" against Rangers... Which is it ffs?! Some of Leggo's rants are kinda along the right lines, but to accuse Green of "rabble rousing" whilst at the same time attempting to rouse his own fucking rabble is confused at best. If Green wasn't being outspoken against out detractors he'd still be in the wrong for allowing the mhedia et all to stick the boot in unchallenged... Still, onward & upwards
  21. Good point, if we're out of the cups the that's another financial kick in the balls for everyone (including us - we'd lose out on some gate receipts along the way, but that's the least of our worries atm...) & given the prospective state of the SPL clubs' finances this season, they'll ALL have been secretly hoping to draw us for the gate money & their best chance in history of putting a couple of goals past us and boosting their dwindling support in the process - could be a shrewd move by Green in standing firm...
  22. I would love for that to happen, purely given his outspoken views on our financial affairs over the course... Knewco Lenny?
