Van Vossen was an amazing physical specimen. He was built like Iron Man and also immensely skilful but for some reason it never really worked for us apart from the odd touch. I remember that game with Killie and hoped it would settle him down but sadly he never did himself justice. Rozental was also a fine player but was never fit enough for our game. He was electrifying occasionally but couldn't sustain it.

I was lucky enough to see that glorious goal against Bayern and many others. One of our classiest players ever. Genuine world class. He was super fit as a player and still looks the same now. Surely that'll help. Good luck Sandy. We're all rooting for you.

Nice to see a positive image projected abroad. And shows the interest abroad in the famous Glasgow Rangers.

My son was involved in a scheme organised by Hearts and based round a big sports centre in Bathgate. Kids from all round came, enthusiastic dads were there as were a few Hearts players. Everybody got a game, positions were rotated, and there was nothing but extremely positive support from all concerned. It was all about developing basic skills, some fitness and discipline, and a love of the game. Fantastic. Then he got picked for the school team so he packed this in much against my advice. After that he barely got a game and we had to stand and listen to morons telling their kids to "break his leg" and "take him down". It was disgusting and he never played a game after that. Never even watches football now.
