  1. If we can get him, do it.
  2. Don't need you to give me advice like this. I just want somebody to tell me why we should be singing this song. That's all. Nobody's been able to do it so far and I suspect you're not going to cut it either Sebonotsuboy. Do your best though.
  3. I think this could be the real problem.
  4. I can't say I'm sorry he's gone and off the payroll but at the end of the day, apart from revealing his contract details what has he actually done? How much weight will his request to a spoof caller not to contact Rangers actually hold? Obviously like everybody else here I'm no expert in this area but I hope we're not opening a can of worms with this one.
  5. I don't need to see further examples of it being sung I just want to know what it has to do with the Gers. Thanks.
  6. Can somebody please explain what it has to do with the Gers? Seriously.
  7. Fuckin hell. They'd paid a lot of money to see this match and they did their best to make sure it went on. What's the big deal?
  8. We've just won SFL3. We should enjoy it and add it to our list of trophies. To regard it as equivalent to winning the top league is embarrassing. It's 54.
  9. Pressure? Don't make me fucking laugh. They don't know the meaning of the word. Pressure is having been made redundant aged 58 and wondering how you're going to pay the mortgage when the money runs out in a few months. Pressure is applying for umpteen jobs a week and rarely even getting an email acknowledgement even though you're a highly educated experienced professional person. That's pressure. I saw an interview with Jim Baxter a few years ago and he was asked if modern players were under too much pressure and he was utterly contemptuous. I'm paraphrasing here as I haven't seen it for a while but his reply was along the lines of, "Pressure is going down a mine, digging coal out all day, and still not being able to pay the mortgage. Playing fitba for a living's no pressure. It's a privilege."
  10. Thought tonight was less shit than Friday which was a bit less shit than anything we saw from Levein. Over all we're making progress We didn't get this bad overnight and we were never terribly brilliant to start with. We're looking at the long haul here.
  11. The team has played shit against 3rd division opposition almost all season. On top of that many of them appear not to give a shit about it and seem less fit and tactically aware than our part time opposition. And we have a manager who, sadly, doesn't look to be able to manage a team of Gers' level. I think the fans are perfectly entitled to make their opinions known. It's not good enough from team or management. We need to go into the SPL with a settled, decent team and for that to happen the process should already have started with a leader who has the talent and charisma to see the way ahead and who can plan our way forward. Sadly, IMHO Ally's not the man to do it. Sorry.
  12. A joy to watch. Thanks for the link.
  13. I sometimes wonder if this thread is a wind-up. We're going forward as a business no doubt but to say we're going forward as a football club is arrant nonsense. The quality of the football is deteriorating from a poor starting point and those who say that doesn't matter are deluded. We cannot wait until we're back in the SPL before that becomes a priority. We don't have loads of time as some have said. We need to use every season to facilitate a culture change regarding physical conditioning, sporting awareness and intelligence and just to educate the squad that they're professional athletes and shouldn't be out on the lash every available evening. Also the management needs to take a right good look at themselves.
  14. Charles should stop paying lawyers to act on our behalf and get his legal advice from a fans message board. That'll work. Seriously guys get real.
  15. Mixed feelings from me I'm afraid. I'm old enough to remember Dunfermline as a major force in Scottish football. I remember standing in the enclosure as a kid with my old man and his mates alongside the Pars fans, friendly banter all the way through. Half time would see the half bottles and carry outs being shared. Maybe it's a bit of "small boys, jumpers for goalposts" nostalgia but it was different then. I have the utmost respect for Jim Leishman as we don't have enough genuine characters like him. However I can't help but think that they (i.e. Yorkston) were extremely vocal in their desire for us to go down the toilet so perhaps it's a matter of what goes around comes around.
  16. Superb post that needs to be preserved either as a sticky or in some sort of archive. Cheers mate.
  17. Get yourself back in order mate. We're all behind you.
  18. Neg rep was being used too often in a petty vindictive manner so I'll say no thanks.
  19. Let us know how you feel when you get back to Kansas.
  20. Ally's a fan. He's said that many times but we all knew it anyway. He's one of us. And that makes all the more difficult to say this. Maybe it's time he put on his fan's hat and considered how he'd feel watching the utter shite that's been regularly dished up this season. The display against Annan was only the latest in a series of horrific performances against part time THIRD DIVISION opposition. We can't afford to wait until we're back in the SPL before taking it all seriously. We NEED to be planning a whole new regime of professionalism, organisation, healthy living and fitness levels right now yet half the time we look less fit and organised than our part time opposition. I fear that the longer he's in post the bigger the risk to our long term recovery. Sorry Ally but it's time you considered what's best for Rangers and I can't tell you how painful for me to say that.
  21. Dear me. How cringe worthy is that.
  22. Let's please get an answer from somebody who knows what he's talking about.
  23. Many congratulations mate. I had a few pints with our older son (24) and then he took me and his mum out for a meal. It's wonderful when they're kids and it's also wonderful when they grow up and become best friends.
