  1. Well since they won't be handing money to Rangers until they get security over Ibrox & Auchenhowie, I'd say the answer to you first question is no. Anyone who thinks they are gonna get that needs their wiring completely overhauled.
  2. Yes I will get the tattoo. I will also show my arse in Woolworths. I will also give lectures in how to nail jelly to the ceiling. Meanwhile I shall try to arrange therapy for anybody that thinks this is gonna happen.
  3. It's high time people separated the win rate that the team is achieving from the performance of the coaching team. To those of you want to wait until the results start going against us I'd ask you this. If a passing Tim threw a brick through your window would you wait until it rained before you fixed it? Last season and this we could probably be winning our league without any manager at all with the squads we run. Anyone who thinks we are within a country mile of having a premiership winning side is living in la-la land. We should be developing the side (AND our youths) during our three years in the lower leagues. It won't be enough to wait until 2015 and then try to fix things. Hands up everyone who sees us going in the right direction.......... Though not. This is Ally's third season in charge after a couple of seasons when Wattie let him run the cup squads. He has demonstrated that as a manager he makes a good Question of a Sport captain. I love Ally for what he did as a player and we'll never forget how he held it all together during the admin fiasco. He's in danger of ruining his reputation. I also think that his behaviour during the last few months suggests that he might be working his ticket.
  4. Ain't there any kind of government ombudsman that can put a rocket up that lot and force them to come clean.
  5. Before you call them traitors just remember that these guys are not much more than boys and will have been advised by agents with an eye to the main chance of a wedge in their own pockets. We also will probably never know what actually went on during the administration period with these guys. The lesson to learn is that despite having a top notch training/development complex we are making a royal feck up with our youth policy. Considering we won't be spending mega transfer bucks any time soon it is essential that our youth development gets sorted pronto.
  6. You have to hope the personnel will be different when we reach the top tier, both playing and coaching staff. If we go into the Championship as we are I don't think that it is any certainty we'll be in the top tier come August 2015. Despite a remarkable win rate this year, anyone being honest with themselves must realise that we've struggled too often to grind out some results against third tier mostly part timers. Far from ready to step up. And just as a postscript. Where are the ££££ coming from to improve things.
  7. To be fair, we are behind them at present. But the only folk that reckon the Tims are a slick outfit are the self deluded. In reality the gap ain't that great. If I was toothrot I'd be worried. Although in another couple of seasons it probably won't concern him that much when he's managing Barcelona.
  8. Have a heart guys. One of their players found his hamster, Benedict, dead in the cage last week and the rest are off on a money spinning tour of Coatbridge. In any case I hear a fair few of them have come down with piles.
  9. That would be the USA Jersey mate. He's on about the Channel Isle. No time difference.
  10. By the time he's paid tax and NI it's no that big a wedge.
  11. ^^^^^ This Can someone just state exactly what the current board are so guilty of AND back it up with hard evidence. Then tell me exactly what steps the McColl group would take to make it all better AND also back that up with hard evidence. I'm prepared to admit that I ain't got a scooby what goes on with either of these factions but I'm surprised by the number of people who know it all! You must read different papers from me. I'm waiting for the accounts and to hear what's said at the AGM. I think I'll be better placed to form my conclusions after that.
  12. Clearly you never saw Baxter in action either. Baxter was a football genius in an era when coaching consisted of chucking a football at the captain and telling them to get out there and get tore intae them. I shudder to think what damage an organised team wi' Slim Jim in it would do today. Only way Laudrup's scores over Baxter is that BL wasn't a beer swilling, gambling rogue.
  13. Tbh you could say the same about DJ !
  14. Criticising Ally's managerial abilities ain't disrespectful and it ain't Ally hating. It's an opinion, that's all. Ally's had two years in charge and also took charge for cup ties while WS was still there. At some stage you need to come to a judgement as to how he's doing and if you were making that judgement today you'd have to say he ain't cutting it. I know he's had a set of circumstances that no other manager has had to put up with since the admin debacle but it has to be said that he didn't do well with a semi decent squad (more or less one that Walter won the league with) in his first year and last year his decision making left a lot to be desired. Now we all love Ally the bloke and we all loved Ally the player. But to stay as manager he has to prove he's up to it or it'll end badly. I'd say the first half of this season is critical for him. Winning the league is not a success, it's a given. We need to demonstrate that things are developing at a rate that will make us competitive and successful at SPFL level. That's the yardstick.
  15. Tom Miller's been doing commentaries on Rangers for years. His patter is brilliant and he is a bluenose through and through. He has also got a great knowledge and appreciation of Rangers history. His little nicknames for payers always give me a laugh. Long may he continue.
  16. Can't see there being a fast buck in owning 'Oldco'. It's in the hands of liquidators.
  17. I think our last three championships show that statement to be somewhat of a load of bollox.
  18. All our goals were scored at the Rangers end. Wee Henderson won us the game laying on two in the last minute for Millar and Brand. Ralphie was actuall sat on his arse IIRC. When Millar got our second he rose to head and our entire end settled and went quiet as the ball headed for the net. Then bedlam. We were still going daft when the third went in. That was the completion of three in a row again IIRC.
  19. Everyone who's crying out for fan ownership needs to take a deep breath. Just watch what happens to Dunfermline in the next couple of years if they last that long. Fan ownership would be difficult if we were all pulling in the same direction, fat chance of that with our support. Neither is it about having some well heeled fans coming in to fund the club. Remember that guy Murray? The club needs to be run as a business, controlling costs and maximising revenue from football, advertising, sponsorship, merchandising and TV. Also, if it comes down to it, developing and selling on some players. We need to be self sufficient. We need people in who can do that.
  20. The leaks re-appear ???????? I'm sorry but I must have missed that bit when they stopped.
  21. A Rangers manager should command a high salary. We still are the biggest and most successful club in this shithole of a league. However there is such a thing as value for money and it would be nice if we had someone who looked as if he knew what he was doing.
