  1. A start of a season like no other.....Players coming in, players leaving and more to go, so not the time for trying anything new. For me we should be trying to be solid at the back to start with, and the quality up front should see at least a 1-0 or 2-0. Leave the experimenting for a few months when the squad is settled.
  2. I see no problem here. I was suspicious of Green (here to make money), and an still to be fully convinced (will take more time/actions), but our views on who is the owner, to me, has nothing to do with us now rallying behind Ally and the team and filling the stadiums wherever they go - and cheering them on whatever the score. I support the Rangers - I don't necessarily have to support Green (although he is growing on me)
  3. Agree. At the East Fife game I was annoyed at some people behind me doing the old winging/moaning when passes went astray. You may think to yourself 'that was shit', but keep it inside, and cheer on the team - come on the Gers. This is a time for SUPPORT. That's what we are called, and need to deliver. Gets the team down, encourages the opposition, so has no place at the park. We can have a moan here, but some take it too far.
  4. Just disappointing - nothing else. A wake up call.
  5. sloppy at the back and Broadfoot our only attacking 'winger' ????????......But in the long run this result will probably be better than us running over them 4 nil - Reinforces the fact we are just at the start of rebuilding a TEAM. Rather Ally gives them a roasting now (and makes more changes), rather than having to do it after being put out the cup by some other diddy team.
  6. I don't know why Greig has kept quiet, but i'm sure the rest of us don't know either. Greig is a Rangers legend. I would have expected more from him, but that just moves him down the list of greats a bit. McCloy, Jardine, Miller, Forsyth, Jackson, McDonald, McLean, Russel, (Johnstone removed), Smith, Cooper etc etc will always be legends to me. So Greig will always be a legend and should be part of the club in some way - but not maybe as the greatest any more.
  7. Fill every away ground and ibrox every week. Win, loose or draw support the team. No booing, groning or whining at players. We've reached the bottom, now it's up all the way. We are the news, and we are the PEOPLE.
  8. Is it what he said - Hope so. Is he the greatest ever Ranger - heading their. Is he the greaters living Ranger - starting to think so. Does it bring a tear to my eye - you bet. What song will we sing again and again every game endlessly - Super Ally. If they try to punish him, will it tip us over the edge - think so.
  9. Yes, a true great. The younger amongst us will not know the passion of men like this and their understanding of what being a Ranger was. I could not visualise the Whyte episode happening with big Jock at the club. I thank you for reminding me of this date to reflect on this icon.
  10. We can't trust the owners - they come and go. You can't expect to trust a lot of players, who are here coz it's just a job. But we have the support - the true keepers of the traditions and values. We'll see who the true supporters are in the next year or two. The support is rangers.
  11. Bomber behind him made it all possible.............
  12. I'm more Scottish than British. But more Rangers than Scottish. Rangers is the tribe I belong to. No Rangers means no identity. Can't comprehend not having Rangers.
  13. Seriously Soupy, I along with my 2 rangers supporting daughters, my Rangers supporting wife and my Rangers supporting sister would like to meet you outside Ibrox, first game next season. Then you can tell me/us, why we are celtic fans????
  14. Duke soup If we do make it to next season, you must PM me and tell me where you sit, so we can continue this interesting stupid conversation at ibrox.
  15. So no reason them dukepotatolentil, just a dislike of what you don't like said = tim
  16. And what makes you think I am a celtic fan?
  17. Well know it all, your not quite right. Generally following the rubbish spouted here. For the record, I lived next to the Grammar, and went to Castlehead, the comprehensive, coz the grammar was still a Tory posh school. Walked past the posh kids every day and nobody said boo to me. When they went comprehensive, I wouldn't go coz I wouldn't set foot in a Tory school. Took 3 days sick to see rangers in Koln when I was 15, visitors passport and an AT Mays bus ticket - lost 1-0. And all these year I didn't realise I was a Tim until you told me.............
  18. So when you see your club in trouble, and you want to get more info about what's going, and join a Forum, you are a TIM? What crap.
  19. You's just can't help it can you. Castlehead high school paisley, and i'm as blue as they come. Hell of a lot of paranoid arseholes on this site.
  20. To those that disagree - fair enough, free country. To those who are abusive - fuck you. Poor behaviour for a blue nose. To those who think anyone not conforming to their view are TIMs - a long line of sware words followed by quite sad.
  21. This is all doing my head in. Have no faith in the suits, lawyers and shysters of various disguises. . What is the club? - mostly the support. Club is nothing without us. . Am starting to think another bunch of non Rangers people will be owning us, so what to do?. . If I was Ally, i'd set up a new club, call it Rangers, and find a junior league to play in. Now, where would the support go? Slow rise up to buy back ibrox, where nobody went anymore. Some of these businessmen assume that no matter who they are or what they do, we will blindly turn up and give them our money. Well we would, if their was no alternative??
  22. I don't like seeing so many empty seats, but a pretty healthy mid week core of support, all intent on backing the team. If their was to be an attendance slump, this would probably have been the game - meaningless, midweek and on the telly, so i'm happy with the numbers. Result was a bonus.
  23. What a Rangers player should be - all that needs said. A model to all.
  24. REALLY REALLY gutted I couldn't go, but REALLY REALLY uplifted by the number that did. Hope this is the start of being united and start targeting protests.
