Thought 2006 was a good tournament from what I can remember, Germany being as good as they were, Zidane carrying France to the final then of course the headbutt, the way germany went out as well conceding 2 goals in the last 2 mins of extra time.

like you said about Italy when Pirlo retires Italy will, Zidane retired and France have become the laughing stock of international football since the 2010 WC with the rifts. Also about Italy they seem to do quite shit outside tournaments but always go deep in the tournaments, always dark horses plus they have a strong enough team around pirlo, strong defensively quite a solid midfield then of course theres Balotelli and also Rossi seems to be finding form again for Fiorentina after his injury problems.

As usual Arsenal have left it till now to try sign players and will more than likely go for players they don't really need rather than filling the problem positions with tried and tested players, Casillas would be a great signing if it came off but again compared to the situation with other position's a goalkeeper would not be my top priority if I was Wenger.

Yoann Gourcuff being linked with Arsenal, if he could re-capture the form he showed a few years back with Boredaux then he could be brilliant but if Arsenal need to focus on certain positions then I'd say this is one were they shouldn't even be looking to buy

Except the defending on the left side would be non-existant. Even Marcelo and Coentrao offer much more defensively.

That coupled with the fact that they were probably the only ones making an atmosphere at the Girodome I can see there being a really big drop in attendance for them if the place wasn't already empty enough

Honestly can't remember mate but he looked decent.

Only ever seen him once playing for NI and he was superb that night, if he kept that level up he would be a fine signing but as others have said other places need filled first before spunking more money on another GK.
