Windass imo will be our biggest asset this season. Love the way he plays and the more he plays, the more we'll be on the front foot. He has struggled, but Barton is struggling too and offers nothing going forward. No need for Barton when Rossiter is in the the team. Rossiter does the Barton job better and would prefer Forrester as an attacking mid. Todays set up was a bit shite tbh.

Defensively, yes. The let down today though was his crossing. Every cross was about 100mph with no one close to getting on the end of them. It was hit and hope more than anything. A McCann type player would have picked his spot and floated one in for the runner to plant his nut right on it. In saying that though, we didn't exactly have anyone trying to get into the box.

100% agree with that. Age before beauty is not the best option in this case. Kranjcar is a ride, but wee Harry is far more sexy. MOH is a definite start for me ahead of Miller. Not knocking Kenny, but we need to start stronger than we did today and Miller just seems a bit off the pace so far. He will get there though. Also Barton, thought he was good today, but still not there yet. I'd rather start with Rossiter. It's early days, but we lacked enthusiasm today. The younger hungry guys should be getting let loose imo. We need to be relentless to get the message across that we mean business. As you say, too casual at times.

Different formations for me. 433 might work most of the time (especially in lower leagues) , but the ability to switch from 3,4 or 5 at the back in the whatever circumstances during a game is going to make the opposition rethink (The little general was a genius at that). Make a sub that surprises people and change things accordingly. Bringing on different players to do the same shit is like me getting a new painter and decorator to do my house up the same way as the last guy. It will be new, but still be the same shit.

How we took them apart in the semi final was just one game. 11 v 11. It was our day and what a fucking day it was! Today is just a continuation of every game after that. No heart, no fight and most of all, no plan B. How are we supposed to make teams rethink their plan, if they know ours will never change? We're making it easy for them by being predictable and ever increasingly boring. We need to be making the opposition second guess us and it just isn't happening. I can't see it happening either. It's a case of let's go out there and hope we win. I can't buy into that shite tbh!
