  1. Why any manager would have his main striker take corners is beyond me. The entire point of having a striker on the pitch is to put the ball in the net and the cross from the corner is one of the main methods of delivering the ball to him to do that.
  2. Sounds like something that might have gone on at a certain teams Boys Club.
  3. RIP Ali, fought as a heavy weight and moved with the agility of a bantam. Today's heavy weights would have been canon fodder to this guy, they may be taller with longer reaches, but they wouldn't be fast enough to have landed a punch on him. Basically today's heavy weights are side show carnival acts compared to Ali.
  4. Forgive me if anyone else has posted regarding this but a few days back I read a very interesting piece in the Herald regarding the amount off shore ownership in Scottish football. It mentioned a number of clubs and hinted that c****c's main shareholder may even have more shares held through off shore companies, though it did not provide any proof of this. When I went back to re read the story I was very surprised to see that the article had been re-written and all of the main content removed as can be seen here. http://martini.heraldscotland.com/opinion/sunday_herald_view/14523182.Who_really_owns_Scottish_football_/ If anybody on here has a copy of the original article or would know how to retrieve it would the please post a link or cop & paste it on here. What surprised me the most wasn't that there may be some pretty odd things going on in Scottish football, but the fact that such an interesting piece with content about them would ever have made it on to the Herald's sit to start with. There was no mention that the article had been updated in the re-write and I do wonder if a certain club had some low level paper gatherer threaten a law suit about the original content. Just wish I'd had time to make a copy of the original article.
  5. For the bulk of my time attending Ibrox there were no seats except for the top tier of main stand.
  6. If it can be proven that a large number of c****c fans were in attendance at the final and in turn took part in the riot by the fans from the Hib's end should c****c be punished? Bearing in mind that clubs have in the past been fined for the behaviour of their fans before, during, and after games surely the only way to stop the infiltration by fans of a third party club at finals like Saturday's is to punish the club whose fans have organised the infiltration. Bearing in mind that over the last few seasons it c****c fans were openly trying to organise buses to attend games involving Rangers.
  7. Don't know about a layer, but they've probably had quite a few supporters on there who were liars.
  8. The guy spent over £150m at Liverpool to fail, and folk wonder why he wasn't in the frame for any of the numerous posts that have come along in the EPL/Championship. Keep your eyes pealed for any land deals, you know who will need some security for the loans they need to finance this guys purchases.
  9. If it can be proven that Hib's knowingly sold tickets to people they suspected were actually fans of another club to boost their sales then they really will have to be hit with a severe penalty as the could be viewed as having facilitated the riot that happened at the end of the final.
  10. Shouldn't the charge sheet have also involved one of rioting?
  11. Basically Tav and the rest of the team looked like they were way short of match practice against a side who had been playing competitive games. At the end of the day sometimes the schedule will work for you, and sometimes it will work against you. We lost a cup final, it wasn't the first we've lost and it won't be the last, but we pick ourselves up and move on. We are Rangers, we survive to win trophies and while we may not succeed every year we will still be wining more than the teams round about us because that is what we do.
  12. Just a pity that match officials had to put themselves in the line of danger doing Police Scotland's job for them.
  13. You won't hear any disagreement from me on that bud.
  14. In light of what has gone on regarding corruption within FIFA and UEFA I doubt if any attempt to enforce a ban would hold water if it was challenged through the court.
  15. Basically don't know bud, but as the SFA and Police Scotland are responsible for the safety of the players while in the stadium before, during and after the game one would think so.
  16. Doubt if any honest minded person could disagree with the statement our club has issued. Well done the board.
  17. What his does bring into question is how fans of another club were able to gain tickets for this game. Were the tickets allocated by Hib's or the SFA? If any independent investigation can prove that Hib's were actively selling tickets to fans of a third club they really have to be handed a heavy fine, the withholding of their prize money and a long ban from the competition.
  18. Tbh, I wouldn't be surprised there just seems something fake about that pair. I wonder how he felt when wee Nic offer to give a bed to some refugees?
  19. From someone who is a Labour Party member her days are well and truly numbered after the way she f**ked up regarding independence just prior to the election.
  20. Not sure which one, but I seem to remember reading somewhere that either Reagan or Doncaster is related to Liewell by marriage. Don't know if it's true, but it gives you an angle to look at.
  21. If this were true it would have been on the cover of every Sunday newspaper, you've just shown yourself for what you really are.
  22. Don't fear Bren-don's arrival in the slightest, look at the state he left Liverpool in after spending well over £100m. Let's be honest here with all of the managerial vacancies that have come up recently nobody down south even gave him a sniff of a job. Btw, it may be time to keep your eye's peeled for anymore funny land deals to help secure a certain teams rebuilding efforts next season.
  23. So Hib's have won their first SC in 114 years. Could this turn out to be their last trophy? They're heading into a third season in the Championship, without the benefit of a dropdown payment or the blue pound. One would believe that they are now in a situation where they'll have to sell any player they can get a fee for to stave off financial disaster, a situation that tends to result in a further downward spiral as they have to bring in cheap player and run the risk not only of a fourth season in the Championship, but a realistic prospect of going down to Div. 1 at the end of next season. With what went on after yesterday's final I for one would quite happily say they are welcome to the cup this year as a swansong if their lack of promotion leads to admin and further relegation or disappearing altogether.
  24. Hib's should be banned from the SC for at least three years, they should be forced to pay for the damage done and their prize money withheld on top of that. I would also like to see them have to play the first quarter of next season behind closed doors. As for the SFA and Police Scotland I would like to see any injured players sue them for damages as it is their job to ensure the players are safe before, during and after the game. To be honest I think what I have described as being lenient, do I expect it to be carried out? Do I f**k, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to hit us up for some of the damage done.
