  1. Crap Scottish refs won't give many penalties against the favoured ones.
  2. I signed up for the CCCS, but then had to pay my season ticket by four cheque instalments - does the CCCS now kick in again for the cup games (ie automatic payments taken from the card)?
  3. One very small 'positive' is that the defence won't have to park itself at the edge of our own box for most of each game in order to ensure that McCulloch doesn't get ripped apart by an opposition forward who can run any faster than a snail. It' s a small positive though - as we expected more of the same from the worst manager in our history. Keeping his buddies in the money.
  4. McCoist can't help himself. He's not going to change his ways now. Needs to keep supplying his buddies with stories.
  5. More proof that McCoist does not have an original thought in his head.
  6. I was wondering the same thing. Paying by cheque over four instalments and was told there would be reminder each time.
  7. McCoist won't like having someone who actually knows something about football sitting above him in the hierarchy. Starts to expose his incompetence to some scrutiny at long last.
  8. And (trivia point) Forrest's cousin Alex Willoughby was playing for us.
  9. Yes, Dunfermline played Hearts in the cup final on the day we lost to Aberdeen.
  10. Was taken to see us win the league on the last day of the season in 1968, as an 8 year old. Unfortunately we lost 3-2 at Ibrox to Aberdeen, the title went to Celtic. Ferguson was playing centre forward. Still remember the first sight of the stadium as I came up the steps in the main stand. Also the colours (so used to watching black and whiteTV football!)
  11. I got it as a Christmas present as a boy, and remember having to look 'era' up in the dictionary because I didn't know what it meant! Still got the book.
  12. How much do we think McCoist will be suggesting we pay Kenny each week?
  13. Ally would probably play him in midfield anyway.
  14. Fair point about Hearts, and I agree with you on the second point. We've lost a lot of opportunities over the past two seasons to at least give some of these guys a reasonable chance.
  15. Problem with this is that Ally probably wants to sign Miller and Boyd, and Gallagher wouldn't get a chance.
  16. Yes, let's have Boyd, Ferguson, Lovenkrands, Miller, and the rest back. Sod the wages bill. Sod the need to develop youth.
  17. Yes, I remember those spells when he was at Ibrox too. 'Kris has changed, he's fitter, contributing more to the play etc etc' Usually lasted for a few weeks and then the real Boyd re-emerged.
  18. Same reason he was useless in Europe (latterly dropped to the bench for this games) and failed in England. He's really not that good. Scoring bursts against dodgy Scottish defences aside, he lacks mobility, and is a lazy player. McCoist should not be allowed to spend the wages that Boyd will expect. Do we never learn?
  19. Made my choice at number 23 above, but a special mention for Davie Provan's penalty against Falkirk at Ibrox on a wet Wednesday night in 1971 or 1972. The guys all laughed when I drew 'Number 3' in the supporters' bus sweep, but I had the last laugh ...
  20. Hateley against Leeds, Arteta against Dunfermline, or Jardine against Bayern. Can't decide, but probably Sandy's goal since I was actually there but only saw the other two on TV.
  21. BTW, there's no bitterness here, just weariness with a manager who is clearly completely out of his depth.
