  1. Wanting the best from the club and willing it to succeed - no matter the circumstances - is being a supporter. People who claim that they'll stop supporting the club because it isn't winning seems a lot like glory hunting to me.
  2. King only wants to spend the money the club makes, so I think the only option is to go down the out-of-contract/development fee route. How else are we supposed to fund these riches that everyone is dreaming of? If it fails, then it fails. People can either deal with it or just not bother.
  3. I think everyone believed that given his previous work, MW was going to mould them all into stars and we'd sell them on for profit and continually improve - but he's a chancer who underestimated the leagues and it didn't work. If the manager hadn't been supported with funds people would have complained. That is the customer's choice, but hopefully they understand that it means they can't call themself a supporter of the club and that they're just glory hunting.
  4. Other teams in the SPL manage to get by on spending a lot less than £3m a season. Overspending the budget will just lead to more trouble.
  5. But this is the way it has to be, and the way it should be tbh. King has already said he wants to run the club as a business, but people are expecting him to go and throw millions at players - without caring about the debt - because he's the owner. I'm sure FFP means that's not even a possibility anyway.
  6. Im pretty sure that these things are against the law, if people are caught then they should be punished according to the law. You may not agree with them being against the law, but if you do the crime then you serve the time.
  7. If anyone actually believes behaviour like that is acceptable in today's society then you should go back to the Dark Ages and stay there. The media will use it to shame the club, and deservedly so - because it's caveman behaviour. It's all very well the glory hunters in our support claiming that "We Deserve Better" but perhaps it's the club which deserves a better quality of fans?

  9. Fair enough, but my point still stands:
  10. If it wasn't for Wilson's blocks we would have lost that game on Saturday - give the guy some credit.
  11. You're right - politics and sports shouldn't mix, and people's opinions should in no way be affected by the team the support.
  12. the UEFA seedings thing says we're currently rated higher than Legia Warsaw even though we've not played European football for a while.
  13. If the decision is reversed, will we be endlessly challenging it until we get the decision we want? I'm sure this is just a moneymaking scheme for the lawyers of everyone involved.
  14. They will get their chance as the season progresses. But I would not want our chances of winning the league to rely on them, that is why we have experienced players. Peralta's performance today was more than enough to merit a start for the next game.
  15. What would you call the people who only care about success and want to live off the club's reputation if not "leeches"?
  16. *you're Can you please explain how I fall into the second category? I believe I've been nothing but respectable to people on here. I may have stated some harsh truths, but I've never been aggressive or called people names.
  17. Why should we play our fast players at the beginning when the other team is also fresh and fit?
  18. To me, there are two types of people on this forum: 1. Those who unequivocally support the team no matter what, win, lose or draw - Rangers Supporters 2. Those who want to live off the reputation and get mad when the team don't win everything - Rangers Leeches.
  19. I'm not disputing that, but you would think people would use it support the team instead of moaning like women and bitching about things they don't like.
  20. why? so the team can be beaten and lower his standing as manager further, thus giving the supposed "fans" of the the club even more pointless crap to moan about?? Ally has every right to play as strong a team as he wants to.
  21. That you for your insight. I will alert the world media and tell them that glasgowrangersno1 thinks pace is an important part of football. Now having admitted that you think pace is an important part of football, do you not understand the logic in soaking up the pressure to begin with, then bringing on the "fast" players when the opposition is starting to tire - instead of just playing the fast players from the start?
  22. I wonder if The Sun/Daily Record/Other offered the OP a job yet?
  23. Support the team. If you want to be a football reporter then start work for a paper, or start a blog and if your views are valid I'm sure you will get attention you deserve. Just because you have a platform to express your opinions on here doesn't mean you should.
