***The Official Dundee United v Rangers Thread***
Mikhailichenko replied to wearethepeople1's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
I can't see any change making a real difference. We seem to be lacking direction and I don't see a personnel change changing that. I hope I'm wrong and Ally is able to put some fire in their bellies with his ht talk because at the moment there is nothing more than an ember there. -
The hooper price tag will likely include his remaining wages that would be saved as per the norm from the shettlestons

It appears Motherwell have made a statement saying that no vote took place today, only discussions. -
Lewis has just tweeted that he is getting a scan tomorrow. He feels it's not as bad as he first thought.

Could Rangers bring out there own newspaper?
Mikhailichenko replied to ForeverBlue_Since91's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Used to subscribe to The Rangers News when I was a lad. Had hundreds of them. Still might have some stashed at my mums house. Wouldn't work now IMO. Online is the way to go. -
Union Bears Hampden march cancelled

It is a crime to organise unauthorised marches. Why not organise an unorganised march. -
I know a Ross County fan who bought a 20 year season ticket when they got accepted to the SFL from the Highland League. It cost him £350 iirc. Since they got promoted to SFL 1 they have been sending him what are basically begging letters asking him to pay for a season ticket at normal price. It suited them at the time to fund their rise up the leagues but now they are at the top they are losing revenue big time.

RST Board respond to malicious email.

Simple demographics mate. We are so large in numbers and from such a wide area it would be impossible to get everybody to agree on everything. I get your point though, it is sad that people who are ultimately from the same family can be so divided and be so bitter towards each other but that also happens with a family tied by blood. -

It was always my intention to buy direct, which I did earlier this week, but at the same time I thought the RST model was a good idea for fans who couldn't afford the £500. Admittedly I didn't look at the RST model in any great detail until today. They are basically asking punters to take a leap of faith in an organisation which represents less than 1% of our fan base (1% is being generous!) and is shrouded in mystery and mistrust. Fan ownership is a utopian dream, in my opinion. Even if the RST were to get enough shares to have a significant voice within RFC the size of membership would dictate that there would be a sizeable number of members who wouldn't agree with the party line and would be left disenfranchised by the very organisation they handed power to. It would be more realistic for ordinary shareholders to reach a consensus on issues through debate on open forums such as RM. Topics could be discussed, analysed, points and counter points aired. This would allow individuals to get their point across and maybe influence others in how they vote and equally would allow other members to try to influence the first individual in to reviewing their stance. Now some may argue that this is also a utopian pipe dream but I think it is a more practical and realistic way of having 'fan power' involved at the club than the RST option. Judging by some of the bitching that goes on in here it may be difficult to have open discussions on sensitive topics but it still a far better option than the RST. -
Extremely talented player. Always going to be a case of 'what if' with Mols. The thing that sticks out for me though is his smile. He looked so happy playing football. Every goal seemed special to him. I feel honored to have watched him grace the Ibrox turf.

It is a bit of a strange title. What happens when a greater Ranger comes along? Does JG get the title of The Greatest Ever Ranger unceremoniously taken from him and passed to another? Do we have to wait until JG passes away to do it? There is no doubt in my mind that AM is a Great Ranger but is he the greatest? All our legends are great Rangers so I feel it's unfair to give the title to just one. Maybe having different categories such as Greatest Manager, Greatest Player, Greatest Servant would help but we could still end up with the same issues I have stated above. The most dignified way of resolving this would be if JG decides someone else is worthy of his title but I don't think it would be fair to ask or expect him to do it.
