1690tamRFC got a reaction from Bluepeter9 in What does Rangers mean too you
Mate I’m 45 this year and been fortunate to have experienced so much happiness that our team has given us just as a support over my life time. But that day last July was something that was truly one that exceeded all expectations.

Spot on, I met my now wife through our mutual love of the club, we got married at Ibrox last year, it’s impossible to put into words the feeling of seeing my bride to be walk into the blue room to become my wife.

Everything. I moved to south east England in 1978 aged 5 and since 1983 have spent my whole life on trains planes and buses following home and away, at first at the expense of my mother who is also now living back in Scotland, and from 1990 when I left school and got my first ST I traveled up to usually 10 or so home games and the same away. Been to 37 games in Europe over the years but not as many as I should have last couple, Vienna being the last. I’m lucky that I was brought up in a family where Rangers meant everything especially growing up down south, but I honestly can’t put into words what our club means, but it’s 100% the most important thing in my life

Sounds like a good woman then my friend. I’m lucky, my dad died in Glasgow when I was only 2 but my mum and my grandad made sure I had the right upbringing. Even the 30 years I spent in England my mum never let her season ticket lapse.

Imagine how you will feel come May if we win the fucker. It’s weird, I’ve always been confident of winning the league every season, even the last few when it’s been unlikely, this season though I’m actually nervous as fuck, probably more than I’ve ever been, especially at the start of a campaign. Maybe it’s because we realistically have a side capable of doing it, but the importance is off the scale

My wife of nearly thirty years doesn’t care much for football.
She’s had to put up with three of us in this marriage for all that time
😋
