  1. Bid it all for Messi. If Barca don't bite, stick all on red.
  2. Very sad. RIP. Thoughts are with his family and his friends I will also add, to all those who were nearby and witnessed this tragic event, talk to your loved ones, do not bottle anything up.
  3. Ooooft! Now I know how all those against renaming Ibrox feel. Renaming the team is ridiculous. I cold easily live with the stadium being renamed, as the most important people, the fans, would always know it as Ibrox
  4. Leggo's writing style is cringeworthy, and it is hard to believe he actually worked as a journalist.
  5. What's the betting they have had way more snide questions from septic fans than from bears
  6. Is it not that they did not know which division it was going to be? Not sure of the timeline when each player left and when the div 3 was confirmed
  7. Constructive dismissal is usually about the employee feeling he has no choice but to quit the company ie. being bullied in some way, sexism, racism etc In this case, it seems the union are saying the club/old co/new co did not give the players enough information around the time of the assets being purchased for them to make a reasonable decision over whether they should tupe over to the new co, and they felt they had to leave because of this They may well have a case. That all said, those that did not tupe over and let us get a transfer fee should realise they are no longer welcome at the club. Look at guys like Amo, Mols, etc all turning up at the weekend for the celebrations and being given a warm welcome for their service.
  8. Frankie Boyle gave us a few digs including the Murray walking away one when I saw him at the Armadillo last week, but finished the bit of saying I don't give a fuck about all the shite surrounding the Old Firm "I did a gig at the Stand recently and said 'Fuck the Pope and The Queen' and some guy down the front said 'aye.... But in what order?'
  9. I've never really bought the "set a precedent" argument when talking about our case. Our issue was the so-called "side letters" (even that name is trying to imply something more, should just be called "the letters") and whether they could be argued to amount to being contracts, which would then invalidate the EBT's. It has now been proven that they couldn't. There was no contract, they were loans (mostly). Any other football club running EBT's and NOT having any side letters at all would surely be even more in the clear than we now are/should be.
  10. I spotted this on twitter this morning. Fry had posted a link to some other petition, and an enterprising bear tweeted him to say basically all Rangers fans will sign it, if you sign ours. He re-tweeted it and within minutes some snide septic fan was barking about "do you know what they've been up to" etc etc Obsessed arseholes the lot of them
  11. Timmy have been peddling this for a few months as well "even if they win the BTC, SPL could still take the titles" etc... Grasping at straws as per Nelson HOWEVER...... Should the SPL make decide to go ahead with their case...... who would the defender be? Would Green have to change his mind and attend the hearing on our behalf? If no one was there to defend oldco/newco/us whatever legal entity they are "trying" could they just rule as they see fit? Still a lot of questions to be asked. A bittersweet vistory news, but makes the last 2 years all the weirder. Also, fuck Craig Whyte. Interesting to note, if he'd just kept up tax payments for another 9 months (Feb til now) he'd still be the owner and could have now looked to sell us on for a massive profit.
  12. Have VB posted how thy know this guy works for HMRC as a delivery manager? A quick search of LinkedIn brings up a guy of that name with that job title working for HMRC from Glasgow. Is this the basis of this article?
  13. Wrong I'm afraid. IF, and it is a big IF still to be confirmed, these side letters are the final evidence that cause us to lose the EBT case, whomever advised us, big company, wee company, whatever - none of their advice would have said we should send letters like that.
  14. In the situation we are in, it makes me incredibly proud that we have a true Rangers man at the heart of our team. Granted, he has taken plenty of stick over the last few years, and arguably would not have been a starter had this all never happened and we hadn't been downsizing, but Lee has stood up and been counted. It is good to see him getting him some goals as well.
  15. can someone get it on youtube? I can't access twitvid from work
  16. Really does highlight how obsessed "they" are. Still following a guy how barely registered a mark on our history, and then taking the time to try and wind him up?
  17. Well, the BBC claim to have seen/have many of the side letters. NOTE: they do not call them "side contracts" in that article. The basis of the case against us is whether these letters are essentially contracts. They may not be in the usual form of a contract, or have both parties (our representative, and the player) signature, but whether they can be treated as such. McCann and Dodds opinions (or any players) really matter little in all of this. It is whether the letters can be legally deemed as contracts. I think I am right in saying only 1 letter has ever been actually published (by the Sun, News of the World?) which seems a bit strange. I keep clinging on to the hope with the HMRC case that it would have finished quickly against us if there was strong enough evidence, but that may be wishful thinking.
  18. I agree with those saying it's ridiculous to get offended by "jokes". He has said "worse" stuff about disabled people, religions and loads of other topics. I saw him at the Armadillo last year, and he was doing a bit about muslims and the burka - something about them looking like ninjas, and some helmet near us shouted out something offensive - Boyle stopped the joke he was on - and told the guy to fuck off out the auditorium, get his money back, because these are jokes you ignorant cunt (or words to that affect) All that being said, his work has gone way downhill recently. Nowhere near as funny as when on Mock The Week and his first tour. The Tramadol Nights show was just brutal as well. I watched the Boyle Variety show the other night, and am considering selling the tickets we've got for him in December, not because I'm offended, I'm just not looking forward to it as much as before.
  19. Sounds too good to be true. They would twist 'required to buy a programme' into meaning that is part of the actual ticket price and probably a charge of bringing the game into disrepute
  20. Agree. I don't understand this mentality at all. You can't slag off the plastic paddies and then come out with pish like this.
  21. Leggo does state categorically that he has received no notice of fine/suspension, so either he's lying or he knew it was coming. Either way, it would have been a good way to shine a light on those he refers to in the article.
  22. In the interest of balance, it could also be read that the NUJ did both those things, and Leggat resigned as he disagreed, therefore he is not suspended or fined (as he can't be, as no longer a member). So unless the NUJ put out a statement saying they did do it, then it is Thomson's word against Leggat's. Either one could be proved a liar by an NUJ statement. IF Leggat HAS/HAD been given a fine and suspension, he could easily have just posted about it, laughed at it, and pointed to the police report that cleared him. Thomson has replied to people on Twitter saying simply "phone the NUJ press office" for confirmation. Given the mentalists on both sides following this story, he has to know someone will phone the NUJ to ask. Now whether they would tell your average punter over the phone is another matter. Fuck knows.
  23. I'd be surprised if we did, but it is actually more disrespectful to the other team to stop trying. That being said, I'd expect a couple of early subs should we be up, for example 5 nil at half time in a game (saving one til 75+ for any injuries)
