  1. Fluid situation, Alex Thomson in on the act now, see updated in original post.
  2. Certainly a flurry of interesting news, roon ye timmy! Some journo's saying highly unlikely we'll get the uefa club license, but encouraging that we've applied for it, thought that was long gone.
  3. https://twitter.com/#!/STVRaman/statuses/187167894730313728 It's understood the administrators at RFC rejected a bid from West Brom for Steven Naismith last week.
  4. He's on a bit of a roll here! https://twitter.com/#!/BBCchrismclaug/statuses/187165974603120640 BBC understands Craig Whyte has agreed to transfer his shares to Blue Knights consortium. https://twitter.com/#!/BBCchrismclaug/statuses/187165564257583104 Rangers administrators say 4 possibly 5 bids expected tomorrow. BBC understands Brian Kennedy one of the bidders. https://twitter.com/#!/BBCchrismclaug/statuses/187165707153313793 Rangers administrators say talks have taken place with #SPL #SFA and Uefa about consequencies of newco. From Raman at STV https://twitter.com/#!/STVRaman/statuses/187167005181358080 RFC administrators reveal Rangers have applied to the SFA for a UEFA club licence Craig Whyte has agreed to sell his shares to Blue Knights consortium, STV has learned Note SELL, instead of transfer like McLaughlin suggests Back down to earth with a bump! UPDATE: http://twitter.com/a...169590701326337 Craig Whyte tells me any notion he's selling his shares to PM is " absolute nonsense."
  5. Nicholas said after the game they were both sendings off. My gob was truly smackded.
  6. Nothing will happen until the Ticketus case is concluded. I has been reported it will be today. Even if Ticketus lose, I expect them to appeal and certainly not go away quietly, so nothing will be resolved this week. As much as it saddens me, I honestly expect all the bids to dry up because of this, even TBK.
  7. there was a bit in the sun yesterday saying the all the Collum abuse had been reported and the police were looking into it. Even quoted the one that came from a kid at his school saying "if I see him at school... " etc
  8. This is what the arsehole enemies are doing on twitter. Digging into every journo they can to get "their story" heard.... drip drip drip, trying to have their agenda become the truth. So why am I posting it?? to make more of us aware exactly what they are upto. Here is Tom English arguing back against the Rangers Tax Case blogger. In bold is the person tweeting (limerickmick is some tim who sent RTC latest entry to Tom English. limerickmick2 @TomEnglishSport “@rangerstaxcase: Updated: Campbell Ogilvie: In his own words http://t.co/BeD8vEDw with proof he was a Rangers director” TomEnglishSport @limerickmick2 @rangerstaxcase What are you on about? He says in the piece that he was a director. No great mystery here. Calm down rangerstaxcase @TomEnglishSport @limerickmick2 Your interview reinforces the view that he either directed scam or is a complete buffoon unfit for office TomEnglishSport @rangerstaxcase Your followers have strung him up. The "puff piece" reference is playing to the galleries. Let the inquiry get to the truth. rangerstaxcase @TomEnglishSport To labour the point, the FTT ruling is irrelevant to RFC (under CO) paying players in breach of SFA rules. No need to wait. TomEnglishSport @rangerstaxcase You have already found them guilty of illegal double contracts, have you? I'd hate to appear in front of your court.
  9. Assuming we stay in the SPL either as "us" or as new co, it will be incredibly difficult for us to compete for the SPL title in the next few years. I don't think any new buyer will fund our squad to the level it was the last 3 years winning the title, and I think our better players will leave. I don't think it's much of a stretch to say if that is the case, septic wouldn't even need to add to their team to win the league for the next few years. Some may this is pessimistic, but there you go.
  10. The fascination is simple actually. They think that this voids all games played by all players who supposedly had 2 contracts. If it does, they think the SPL/SPA should retrospectively strip us of titles/cups. Even if the SPL did rule that we had used 2 contracts, I don't know what powers they have to retrospectively look at results. They want us dead with admin hen liquidation, but the icing on the cake for them is having titles stripped. This is why they are on an all out offensive on phone ins, twitter etc.
  11. This one has done the timmy rounds a number of times.
  12. Despite all the dhims being glad about Liewells 'Celtic could survive, we have our own business plan' etc etc without rangers. Yes, they would survive. But they would soon start selling and replacing with lower wages. Liewells will be happy doing that and winning the league (assuming we don't bounce back). The septic fans however heard it differently, that they'll somehow go from strength to strength, buying more, qualifying for the CL and be better off financially. mongs.
  13. I'll only apologise, if AJ aplogises for dismissing the big tax case as being "A Murray Group issue".
  14. Former Rangers director Paul Murray to make offer for club before March 16 deadline #SSN
  15. I'm not sure I could handle a similar 10-0 scoreline against septic though.
  16. The idea that the English would somehow now accept our entry at whatever level is clutching at straws to be honest. They (voting clubs) wouldn't vote to let us in when we were "strong" as they were worried we'd affect their clubs chances of promotion. This hasn't changed, even if we would be initially weaker than before, they'd be worried we might be attractive to a bigger buyer, whether now, or down the line who could possibly drive us on to bigger and better things. The only other hope was that Sky would push for it, and even then that would only be in tandem with Septic - Sky have never commented on this being a possibility, so I see no reason to assume this would ever happen - possibly even more unlikely as a pair now in our weakened state.
  17. Gillivan mentioned his source is a current Rangers employee the other week. He also, seperately, mentioned the source of HMRC supposedly finding out about the side letters was an employee giving auditors the wrong box of paperwork by accident, and this was how the big tax case started.
  18. There are so many daft statements on here. So why has there been such a big case and fuss been made about it? They WERE perfectly legal, HMRC's allegation is we incorrectly administered the ebts, rendering them an illegally implemented ebt.
  19. Depends how much, and the likelihood of getting another job. How does that work for footballers in this situation? How quickly do they think they could get another team? Is there a cut off date free agents can sign with other teams in the SPL/EPL/Championship? Could they say yes, I'll accept that, but I want to be released in the summer?
  20. IF admin was always Whytes plan, as has seemed obvious for a while, he would never have admitted it in a million years. Never. Not to VB, RST, anyone. That much, in this whole story, is obvious.
  21. I'm not saying you are one, but this is a classic timmy line at the moment. The club will always exist, there was a club before there was ever a company. Our history line will continue regardless of any underlying company changes.
  22. What it did was show how determined HMRC are, even when thy are likely to fail £8mill the trial cost!!
  23. Give up? never! never give up hope. Realistically though, with our limited goal scoring options, both up front, and midfield, in comparison to "theirs", it would take a monumental effort for us outpace them the rest of the season.
