  1. Injuries are part and parcel of the game, particularly players who are as rapid as Sima, I wouldn't be overly worried, he's still young and this is the most minutes he's ever played in a season (2594), in a far more condensed schedule.

He's the exact type of player we've been crying out for and I'd be happy to get him back whatever it costs, he's a player that is only going to get better.

Q1: Does he make us a better team?

Q2: Will he make us a profit?

If the answer to both of those questions is yes then it's a no brainer, and for me it's a no brainer.

  2. Said this last week, but I think we're far more comfortable in 2nd place and being underdogs for the title, it won't be good for the nerves but I think the later we regain top spot the better, less chance to fuck it up, so I think we'll go there on Sunday and get a very no thrills professional 2-0 win, any win will do though, if the tims go into their game being pegged back to level points it definitely adds pressure.

Was listening to ssb and mark wilson said the same sometimes you get players who are just at the club a bit too long

We've been guilty of it in the past, players like Morelos, Kent, Kamara all probably should've been sold on a previous window or 2.

    Weird habit of ours

The tims turn players over after 2/3 years most times, I'm not sure I want that quick of a turnover because it feels like they're constantly hitting the reset button and that's probably a reason why they're shite in Europe, but there has to be a middle ground between keeping players for 2 years and keeping ones like us for 5/6 years.

He wants to play till he's 38 is what I picked up on,

Thanks for his service but we will be moving on this summer i think

Amazing that he even continued to play with his operation

We might move on but I'll be amazed if he does, he couldn't find a club down south to pay him what we were offering two years ago when his profile was at it's absolute peak, two years on, bad injuries and a big overall regression in his game makes his appeal even less now, by the end of the season he'll have about £4m before tax left on his contract, think we'd need to offer him a pretty good payoff before he would consider leaving.

Dessers won’t be credited with the winning of a treble unless he started scoring basically all of our goals from now until the end of the season including winners at celtic park and in the cup final against them

The chances of that happening based on what we have seen all season are basically zero. I won’t be deciding an entire squad are Rangers legends just because of a treble, which is apparently what you’re suggesting would happen, it’s just nonsense

Again, I never said you would, but there's thousands of Rangers fans who've never saw us win a Treble, many thousands who haven't seen us win a League in person, it'll be them who'll hold him and everyone else in the squad up as legends if it happens.

Fuck me, Marvin Andrews still gets the hero treatment for being part of Helicopter Sunday and he was hopeless, players from memorable successful seasons are always put on a pedestal.

He won’t be a hero or a legend in my eyes even if we do somehow win the treble because it’ll most likely have been achieved in spite of him missing some absolute sitters in big games

He would be to many though, like it or not there's thousands of fans 20 and under who's only real experience of a successful Rangers team was during covid when all we could do is watch it on the telly, if we somehow won a treble this year then these players will be remembered forever from that section of the fanbase, add into that it's been 21 years since we've won a treble, you could possibly take that age up to 30 year olds too.

  7. I like the big guy, he's got a great attitude, he's a good teammate and always works his arse off, he'll finish with around 25 goals, and if we win the league he'll be a hero, if we win the treble he'll be a legend, and if we win the cup double he'll get a lot of good will, if everything goes wrong he'll be public enemy number one.

Yes when we’ve lost to Ross county and drew with Dundee then playing the 3rd best team in Scotland with the top goal scorer in the country isn’t the most appealing prospect

Give me Hearts over either of them any day of the week and twice on Sunday's, they've got a bigger mental block against us than what we have against the tims at the piggery, plus we always seem to be up for it against them, where as against the likes of County, Livi, St Johnstone and Dundee, we can more often than not just go through the motions.

It was on a hearts counter attack after Souttar loses the ball out wide that ended up with Delvin getting booked for fouling Balagon.

They attack at pace and roll a ball across the edge of our box.

Tav's there but somehow falls over his own feet and the ball rolls passed him.

Shocking defending but he wasn't the only one today with schoolboy defending.

You're being very harsh there, the pass from the Hearts player was that bad it completely wrong footed Tav, but it meant it completely held up for the Hearts player too, so we could eventually deal with it.

I'm critical of Tavernier when his defending deserves it, but that wasn't a fault yesterday, now if the Hearts boy played that ball delibtately and it fell into the path of an on running Hearts forward, I'd say fair enough, he got done, but that wasn't the case, Tav had his angles spot on, thats why the poor ball caught everyone out, not just him.

There’s some ridiculous shite posted on here but that takes the biscuit

Fucking hell, I was using sarcasm to reinforce my belief that we almost always stroll it against Hearts, I don't know if you genuinely disagree with that or you just don't want to be honest online in case other fans are watching, which I suppose is fair enough, but are you telling me if you're sitting in the boozer with your mates, and the subject of a Hearts game comes up, any cunt in your group are ever worried about them?

Every club always has one or two teams they struggle to play against, and we're one of Hearts' ones, there's nothing wrong with admitting that.

There’s plenty of morons on here then.

Listen, do I think he’s rotten? No. His goal tally laughs at that notion.

    BUT

Do you see the absolute nonsense he puts himself, and us, through any time he gets any opportunity to actually think about what he has to do? Such a poor decision maker, tries to walk the ball into the net and for some reason always seems to have his back to goal when it’s put through to him in a crowded box.

Shankland, as a striker, is far far more clinical.

Shankland is slow as fuck with the arse the size of the Broomloan, give him 3 months in a Rangers top and we'd be moaning like fuck because he holds us back and he can't do anything against packed defences.

  12. Matondo has so many good attributes, he could be a real player if we can just get him to put them altogether, there's plenty of players I'd happily see the back of but he's one that I'd like to see us try and coach for another year, of there's no improvement after that then fair enough but he's got pace, skill, can go with both feet, he's brave, always wants the ball too, I think the pros well outweigh the cons but it's just about trying to get it all to work.

Maybe under warburton and pedro we did

But when we hired gerrard we took on an ex player who had one of the most determined attitudes of his generation

How someone like him never built that same determined core team is beyond me

Look at the captaincy that gerrard brought to liverpool, how he ever thought tav was captain material is mental

Then with gio again, another player who had grit and fight in him, albeit only had one summer signings and maybe lawerence was the part, but fucking ben davies? Matondo (and if they werent his signings then why did he fucking allow it knowing they were shite)

I'm no sure he would've ok'd their signings if he thought they were shite, he would've been heavily reliant on our recruitment team and the videos that he would've been shown would've been the same ones that convinced the recruitment team to buy them, very few managers identify players now.
