Surely the team will not need too much to motivate them, seeing as it's a cup game. All the teams we have played have upped their game against us, as it's like a cup final to them, so now's the time to show this mob what it's really like to be in a cup tie with the biggest team in the land. Rangers-3.....Albion Rovers-0

Tom Irish English and Richard Wilson to join BBC Scotland
Bobby Hume replied to quinty's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
You make a very good point there mate, but it remains to be seen, if they would even be allowed to comment truthfully, or at the least, impartially on this scandal. As their past form, is sadly, very poor in this department Had they been going to STV, I would give them better odds, but, the CBBC?, not a lot of light will be shone from that dark hole, I'm afraid. Wilson will have his hands full to stay sane in that infested shithole, whereas the hurly/rugby reporter will be in his own holy ground. Let the Anti-Sport Games begin, and let our first target be ....Rangers. -
Stopped by some (good) news on a Wednesday night
Bobby Hume replied to Viva La Vuvuzela!'s topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Just a few friendly, easy to understand, questions. What kind of soup? Is Robert Frost related to Jack? What school did you go to? What was your best pal's name at school? Did you get the belt often at school? Did you smoke behind the bicycle sheds? Do you know where the pope of Rome lives? Can you finish this well known phrase?......Eff The......... Who in your immediate family should you not shove of a bus? Where is all this going you may well ask? What will answering these questions achieve? Where is the sense in all this nonsense? If you answer all the above questions to my satisfaction, I will then reveal all to you, and then it will all make sense, no predictions, just sense. I hope you will find this beneficially rewarding, and enter into the spirit of transparency we all seek,........ on our journey through life. Thank you in advance. -
Ya certainly cain't, good buddy.

Oh! Good, a Bill Murray movie poll (the only Murray worth his salt)...... Caddyshack....my personal favourite.

If "The Bunnet" was such a good guy, why is there no statue of him outside the Tottie Field? They all hated him at the time he saved them, because he wouldn't let go of the purse strings. So now,he is the latest canonized saint, did anybody tell Frankie the dope. It wasn't until about the middle 00's that things got a wee bit tighter all round, so yes, the scum are at it again, stirring up any old made up shit, keeping Rangers on the boil, and as usual, deflecting from their own impending shit storm.

The sad thing about Big Dandy was that he was up against the man himself, slim Jim, I saw him play the game of his life too, at Ibrox in the ECWC against,I think ,Vienna Rapid in the late 60's, he hit the bar he tackled he worked like a Trojan, his passing was great, but to no avail we still went out on goal difference. After that he went back to being disappointing, hate seeing it happen, but there you go, another one who never quite came up to his potential, or our expectations. Met him years later in a pub, and got chatting to him, he was a decent bloke and not a bit bitter about his time at the club. PS, because he used to get pelters.

Ferries belt - Rangers get a mention
Bobby Hume replied to Carsons Dog's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
A lot of kids', now adults, would say that it taught them to be cautious about inflicting pain on others, as it made them respect others' pain, as they knew what pain was. Today, it seems that kids' are more protected from this type of punishment, and some would say they should bring it back. In my experience, some of us deserved the belt, at times, and it made you stop and think, fuck this, that was sore, I better behave myself. But sure as hell, after the break, back up to the "headie" for more of the same. Did it do me any good?. Did it fuck. Just made me mad. I hated the belt, but couldn't avoid it at times. thank fuck it's gone now, kids' will be better off without it. -
He was a favourite to get a goal against the scum allright, amazing burst of speed he had too, could do with his kind any day of the week.

Good read, worthwhile, like seeing Squeersie get taken to task. But, would much rather see him receive four score but one, lashes, in a public square. He could then justifiably write, to his little hearts content, about the finer points of a good flogging. Giving both points of view ofcourse, and perhaps later penning a little folk ditty about his experience, which we could all sing along with. What a tosser he is.

In-fighting and power struggles. Holding us back?
Bobby Hume replied to Drunk and disorderly.'s topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
What's happening, another great positive thread on RM, that in itself is good news, and is what is required, if there is to be any way out of this divisive state of mind we have been in. thanks a bundle D&D, a lot of sense in your OP. -
Is this the right form of a threat?
Bobby Hume replied to Muirheadbear's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
All I'm thinking on this topic is, thank goodness the OP is in the minority, along with the others, calling for this type of action. There again, it is his opinion, and we must graciously allow him to express it, disappointing and slightly distasteful as it may be. -
The Ipcress file....not you are warned.
Bobby Hume replied to bawsburst's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Not exactly earth shattering. What was the point of the interview ?, other than CH giving his opinion, an opinion that anyone of us could have put together, in relation to our own individual experiences, over the last two and a half years or so. In fairness, overall, he did outline some of our concerns, but, as was said, when asked what he thought of the current board, "maybe we should turn off the camera for that", he gave the impression that he still has possibly,a deep rooted hidden agenda to fulfill. They also seem to have attained their three required objectives, so now what? This unit, to my mind are no more than a fans' watchdog then. At the end it was all about being vigilant, thanks CH, but, I think a few of us kind of learned that already! The not affiliated with any other fans' group doesn't wash either. -
Nobody could touch Baxter, even today, he would stand out, he was also consistent in his prime for club and country, a true thrill it was to watch him. Being part of a great team helped him to be outstanding. Cooper was just as talented as big slim, but less consistent, that was his weakness, if you could call it that, but brilliant to watch all the same. It didn't matter what the side was like for him though, on his game he was just genius. Laudrup was the best import I have ever seen at Ibrox, and he was electric to watch and turned out some mighty fine performances for us. He was also part of a good squad, that helped him to shine. They all played their part (among others), in making Rangers, " the team we all adore". I will have to choose one though, and as good as the others were, I can't pick between Cooper and Laudrup, Slim Jim Baxter is the best I have ever seen, and I personally, will never see his like again.

Damn it Corky, that blows my request, for a rocking horse, and a Lone Ranger outfit, right out of the water. LoL. You're right though, it is a positive step in the right direction.

Funny you should mention farm, as Mugabe tends to mix things up in that area, does'nt he ? Manipulative similes ? His little "war veterans'" worshipped him for that, as the animals did Napoleon. . MD and his "litter" will find us less capable of being manipulated by them.

Does anyone know how CoatbridgeBear got on in court today?
