  1. Injuries really holding us back - Aird & Peralta on the wings is pretty awful. We are due a big performance from Shiels today
  2. Good to see At. Madrid in the Semi's. Hoping for a Madrid Derby in the Semi's
  3. Was very much on the side of Barry when the story broke. In hindsight Barry was very much in the wrong but the dismissal of Le Guen benefited our football club. We brought in Walter got to a European Final the next season, won eight trophies in the next four seasons and made ourselves the dominant team domestically. Barry was wrong but it was a very good thing that Le Guen went in my opinion
  4. Got a feeling Man Utd might do it tonight - based on absolutely nothing mind you. I don't really want Pep or Man Utd to end up with the CL mind you
  5. Our wage budget and spending and the choice of players we bought in last summer has not been great. Having said that QOS don't have ambitions to be challenging for a top flight title in a couple of years nor did they have to quickly assemble a squad in a few years work last summer essentially from scratch. We could have won this division spending a lot less money that much is certain but considering our ambitions the fact our spending dwarfs QOS's significantly is not surprising
  6. I like Sherwood but there's no chance of him ending up managing us in the near future in my opinion
  7. McCall should not be our next manager, he didn't do brilliantly at Bradford and doesn't have the pedigree. In any event McCoist should get to the end of the season. If we win the Scottish Cup this will have been a successful season. If he fails to win it then I probably will be one asking for a change of gaffer but I don't think McCall is the right man for the job
  8. Arsenal Sadly I think they'll still finish 4th and win the FA Cup but fingers crossed Everton pip them to it and Wigan knock them out
  9. If we do not win the Scottish Cup then this season will rightly be regarded as a failure. In his first year in charge Ally shouldn't be held responsible due to administration. In his second year in charge our failures in the cups can be mitigated by the summer as we had no real chance to scout and had to assemble a squad ASAP. This time there are no excuses. He got to sign the players he wanted and in this cup we competed against teams we are far superior than there are no excuses for not winning it. Unlike others I will not revoke my support for him just yet but he has to deliver in the Scottish Cup to retain my support
  10. He was awful today and has been poor most of the time since he came into the squad
  11. Harsh sacking in my opinion and what a ridiculous time for Norwich to do it as well. Hope they go on to get relegated now
  12. The most we can get is 104 and the highest we could have got before the season started was 108
  13. Daly is only on a two year contract so his deal runs out in 2015 so I couldn't imagine Daly / Boyd being our long term strikeforce. Boyd has scored a lot of goals for us but also now for struggling Killie in the top flight so I think he'd be a good addition. He's proven he has the ability to be part of a title winning squad and to contribute meaningfully to it so he could also do a job for us in the top flight
  14. I hate to say it but credit to Liverpool the question marks surrounded their away form but they've just won 3 away games on the bounce and scored 11 games in the process. Definetly in the title race as things stand
  15. That'll be where Jose got all his wisdom
  16. It's tomorrow. It's a must win game for Barca, a draw suits Real as it keeps them in the driving seat ahead of Barca / At. Madrid in the run in. I think it'll be 2-1 Real, Barca have been poor away from home in the league recently
  17. Wright's hurting and Steve McManaman is being sensationalist
  18. Damage limitation for Arsenal now - they have a huge game midweek at home to Man City midweek
  19. It'll benefit Arsenal that Gibbs was sent off by accident . They'll get a successful appeal for Gibbs and I doubt there'll be retroactive punishment on Ox as what he did wasn't violent
  20. Have the joint most clean sheets with Chelsea & West Ham before today
