I can’t ever recall Tavernier or Barisic putting in a ‘fuckin’ have it’ type tackle. Not one.
Perhaps someone can disprove this observation  but  there hasn’t been one solid tackle that springs to mind from either which would make an attacking player think twice. You don’t need to snap them in two, just a robust ‘reducer’. 
(You could throw Goldson into the mix too).
We need some steel in our defenders. Both physically and mentally.

He is our right back/captain next year and we are fucked.

He has to be moved on. We can't watch another season of his failings, we've suffered enough. Same goes for Goldson, Borna and Lundstram. 

Looking at Sterlings performance in the more advanced position on the right he doesn't put to many crosses into the box. Defensively Sterling will outshine Tav as he is more combative and wins most of his one on one duels, but offensively I think he will be a more traditional right back with minimum goal contributions. Depends on what you want, personally I would prefer the more traditional right back and have proper wide men high and wide and the full backs supporting the middle of the park to allow the midfield to push higher.

Last 2 league games need to be about nailing down and working on anything tactically for the final.
Resting players.
And finding out more about anyone he’s uncertain on for next season.

True, but he’s the one that specifically seems to have Tav’s number these days.
Totally distressing that after 6 years, we’re still stuck in a place where, if Tav has a poor game, we have little or nothing else to offer.

Outwith his small part in the first goal, I thought Davies had a decent game. He is nowhere near as bad as some suggest.
