Yesterday was about what I expected. Not what I hoped for. To be fair to the players they tried their best but as we know they are just not good enough to wear the jersey. I watched the game yesterday on Fox Sports (an American station) and while the commentators agreed that the the tic were all over us they could not stop talking about our fans who sang for 90 mins while we were getting gubbed. I trust Sarver tuned in.
I hope that a member of the squad is brought in as player/manager on a temp basis. Once the boardroom shambles is over then immediately appoint a new manager and give him some money. The money may be forthcoming if the Sarver story is true.
I earn my crust as a Reporting Analyst. If management were to task me with producing an ad hoc report detaining the money spent so far on a case it would take no more than an hour or two of my day depending on the databases I had to query to extract the information. HMRC just do not want to release the information.
Hearts are beatable. No more negativity. Sell the ground out get behind the team and all can be well. Oh and thousands of USA flags to get the message across.
I dont think it would cost a penny to sack him. Just tell him he has lost the board and the fans and here is your P45. He can of course then go to court and sue but if there is any feeling for Rangers left in his soul he will not do so.
When you look back on it Ally set records as a player but was he that good? Souness kept him on the bench. Shows what he thought of him. At that time we had world class midfielders playing for us and they would regularly give him taps ins. I have doubts about good a player he actually was.
