We aren't getting better. We are no better than last year.

The absolute last players we should have signed are high profile has beens on big wages, Mexican boozebags and other high risk options. We have made every bad decision possible and looking at the accounts there is no quick way back. Nobody will buy us or invest, and our only option is to cut our cloth pretty dramatically. These "soft loans" aren't like free stuff and there's no magic way out through endless share dilution.

So there was no extra investment when we first came back up. How would that work, because we certainly didn't have any dramatic increase in spending after the Jan window, meaning that any 60% increase didn't occur until after Warburton was canned. It would mean we expected him to succeed in the SPL with zero extra investment compared to the championship. I'm really keen to find out the reality of how much we actually paid for Pena et Al, and how much they are being paid because outwith Morelos they seem to be either low calibre or troubled players. Either Pedro is doing the job with his hands tied behind his back financially or he is an absolutely terrible judge of players who mistakenly believed these guys were good enough.

So, we paid less in the year ending Dec 2016 than in the year ending Dec 2015?

I don't understand these accounts at all. It says we were paying more in 2015 for players than in 2016, yet King's bullet point says 60% increase to 10M. Or am I missing something?

Figures I can find suggest 36M for them up to Dec 2016. I can't find player costs for us?

I'm beyond that. Couldn't give a fuck about this decent man suite. He's a con man who has cost us a fortune. The way he acts is making out we are all fools, and then there's posters on here defending his Mexican record. People that are a step nearer to some influence, and they are posting utter shite. Any idiot can see this guy is a total dud.

I think it would cost over 1M to get rid of Pedro and 1M to get McInnes. Then we have the problem of Pedro's Portuguese and Mexican players. I doubt we'll get anything back on Pena, and maybe a few hundred grand on the others. Hopefully Morelos will stay. We are looking at 10M investment, minimum. The board need to accept they've fucked up with Pedro ASAP, so we can start a proper rebuild with a real manager.

I don't buy this theory at all. Occam's razor says that the board have made a monumental fuck up with an utterly shite manager, nothing more nothing less. You're saying that IF we have spent 8 million compared to St Johnstone and their ten bob team, it makes no odds as it requires more to catch them. I'm saying the board could reasonably expect FAR better for this kind of outlay. I'd also get our players are on well above the rest of the teams' wages. I just think Pedro is a terrible manager.

It's pretty important because if Pena was 2 million, I'd have to question the integrity of those involved in the transfer.

Before we do anything we have to agree that Pedro is a complete fuckin dud, an abject failure who should be given NO MORE TIME. As long as we are umming and ahhing about it he will stay in place. It will likely take a defeat at Hamilton sending us into the bottom half of this utterly shite league for some folk to wake up. We are loyal, but that doesn't mean we should be fuckin brainless.

I'd like to know the real amount we've spent. If the quoted figures are accurate, Pedro has to go down as the worst manager in history. St Johnstone likely spent about a fuckin tenner if they're lucky.

They're very poor in European terms, but very good in Scottish terms. We have our work cut out to beat them, and that is the IMMEDIATE target. Fed up with this "get 2nd then next year" tripe. We are Rangers and should be brushing aside the SPL dross.

This is a sad, sad post. We need to be proactive here. Fire Pedro, and start building Rangers rather than thinking about them falling away.
