  1. This buying Jan. smacks of desperation. That mob bought 3 players in in the window last winter after having the transfer deadline manipulated to suit their cause because they had injuries and needed players in,,,,,,,,,,badly. It was a desperation move that worked for them to an extent. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if there's a hidden debt that we are not aware of that has hindered funds being used here. I also wouldn't be surprised if we've bid for someone but the asking price is too high so the Club have said why pay that when we can offer them a pre contract in Jan. The trouble with that argument is we need help in certain areas now not in Jan. or next season. The Club is riddled with injuries right now and should we pick up some more between now and the end of Nov. then the lack of movement in the transfer market just now is a massive gamble which , if it goes pear shaped that isn't worth the risk imo.
  2. This is my biggest concern in all of this and if it does come to this the last thing I want to hear from this board is we had a run of bad luck because of injuries being trotted out as an excuse.
  3. Rangers transfer business concluded As things stand, Sky Sports News understands Giovanni van Bronckhorst will not make further additions to his Rangers squad before the midnight transfer deadline. Rangers have brought seven signings - Ben Davies, Ridvan Yilmaz, Rabbi Matondo, Antonio Colak, Tom Lawrence, John Souttar and Malik Tillman - to Ibrox during this summer window.
  4. You're probably right and it may be that everyone thinks a pacy wide man should be blowing past defenders every time but I will admit that is what concerns me at times as imo he doesn't use his pace enough or pick his spots to use it. I do believe he will come good though.
  5. This and it saves me writing the exact same thing.
  6. I'll be 66 next month,,,,,,I've seen a few games in Europe in those years , good and bad. That , imo , was the most complete TEAM performance I've witnessed in all those years. Better than Dortmund , better than Elland Rd.,,,,,,,,imo. We were written off by so many and by so many of us as well. Take a bow...........Take a fuckin bow. That was simply outstanding.
  7. I get tae spend merr money!!!!
  8. Guy on FF saying it's an ankle injury, possibly broken
  9. Fair enough I'll stand corrected on Campbell. I will add , on the Lundstram red card issue , that Ryan Kent's fuckin woeful pass back to Lundstram put him in the position of having to foul Boyle in the first place and that summed up Kent's performance today for me. Every final touch of the ball from him turned into a 50/50 challenge. Just my opinion on Kent , who I thought looked good early on too , but are we getting the best out of him or are some of us looking for too much from him??
  10. !st half Lundstram is striding clear and is cynically brought down from behind. Resulting in a yellow card. OK no problem. The boy who tied the game up is on a yellow card for a bad challenge and just about halves Barasic in two on the touch line later on in the 1st half. Resulting in no 2nd yellow or a red and no talking to by the referee. What is the difference between the tackle on Lundstram and the tackle on that diving bastard Boyle by Lundstram is the question that needs asked and explained. Morelos is a fuckin idiot plain and simple. He'd already been spoken to after just coming on then proceeds to swing an arm which doesn't connect just before the one that did connect. Now we can argue about was his red card merited till the cows come home but there was no need to swing your arm in the first place as the outcome was always going to be what it was given who was the referee. 7 fouls up to that point committed by Rangers resulting in two reds and two yellows and yet some will tell you there is no agendas in Scottish Football. We got what we deserved for that first half performance which was totally unacceptable as this Hibs team are rank rotten and if we come out the gates at it the games over at half time but don't tell me that there isn't an agenda in Scottish Football against our Club by the most incompetent officials in the game because I'm not having it. Gollum was,,,,,,,,,Gollum today. Fuckin awful.
  11. Agree with most of what you're saying especially the physicality side of things. I don't know if we can match that especially in midfield. Tillman looked out of sorts a bit as he was getting caught in possession a lot and forced off the ball as they were putting two players on him for the most part when he had the ball. They've clearly identified him as the one to watch. They changed things up at half-time and were the better team in the 2nd half but our coaching staff have seen what they are about now and hopefully will have a game plan ready to counter act anything they can throw at us next week. It was a very good game tonight. It's half-time and the game is even at 2-2. I'm looking forward to the tactical battle next week.
  12. They are and it wouldn't surprise me in the least if this has been orchestrated from the London offices of the BBC to help try and clean up their image which in turn begs the question what and where were you when this all started with one of Britain's greatest institutions that would force you into having to make an apology like that , a long overdue apology at that , in the first place?
  13. Seen it mentioned a couple of days ago then it went quiet.
  14. Or even the young lad from Fortuna Sittard. Fox?
  15. It's always tough to see players we've grown attached to leave the Club but such was this young Man's rise of play , stature and composure in tough spots it was always inevitable that we'd lose him at some point. We are witnessing the Club's new sell for profit take effect here and with Aribo gone already and now Bassey the money being brought in will sustain the Club and if it's used right , hopefully , see some more young talent be brought through and into the Club. This move for him is fantastic and absolutely the correct move for him career wise as he will eventually move from Ajax to bigger things which in itself will bring more money into the Club. I wish this young Man a very healthy career. He's been a model pro in his time at Ibrox and has handled himself admirably. Go live your dreams Calvin and thank you for your time and service while wearing the blue jersey of Rangers Football Club.
  16. Lost my Auld Man to this disease 4 years ago and he spent his last few days in Strathcarron. Every year the Family makes a donation to them as that is what keeps the lights on in most of these places and the Doctors and Nurses that work in them do a yeomans job so deserve all the credit in the World as they are surrounded by death 24-7.
  17. I saw this earlier and like yourself was unprepared to share. The unfortunate thing in this particular situation is that I know someone real close to Andy and what he is and has been going through but chose not to post in respect to the Man and his situation. This is not the time , nor should it ever be , about being first to post with information on someone's fate in Life. It should be about respect and dignity and if Andy Goram wishes to inform everyone of his condition and the details surrounding it then it's his choice to do so. May his time left be in peace and what time he has left be spent in peace and comfort with his Family and close friends.
  18. https://www.ibroxnoise.co.uk/2022/05/goldson-to-leave-Rangers-for-forest/?fbclid=IwAR2nzG6ZcgWpbWiolgZWYFT-mmYJKzCquBlL-Pex6MoIWg_wxTzCVkGoSpQ We move on. Thanks for services and best wishes for your future.
  19. Souttar was very very impressive and when you consider that was his first game since March the 5th it's even more impressive. I can hardly wait till our science team get their hands on him , it'll do his fitness and injury woes the World of good.
  20. It won't be for a while as he said he's committed to Rangers but this boy is going to make this Club some serious moola. Him going right to the end in ET to deny them a throw in in the last minute of ET typifies the boys stamina. An absolute tank with a rolls royce engine in him.
  21. Didn't mean to like your post there GS but at 66 I know I'll never see this again and that is what has me feeling lost right now. I've seen Rangers teams lose games before and while it's bothered me nothing comes close too tonight's loss. That was simply devastating and I couldn't even watch the penalties as I had a feeling what was coming. Fuck Saturday i'm not interested.
