Good stuff. Now, go on and build on it. -
Have We Ever Had A Worse Season?
Ed Hemingway replied to DavieMacRFC's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
I believe that's that key point right there. It's both unreasonable and unfair to compare our current situation with those of previous eras. But as we returned from those other terrible periods we'll do the same (eventually) with this one too. And it'll be great. -
Not to detract from the current (and rightfully more important) topics concerning the club, but do you remember Laudrup's debut? More specifically, the way he ran out of defence en route to providing the winner? Different class. Edit: actually, 'different class' is perhaps as much an understatement as it's possible to make...

How To Replace The 12 Out Of Contract Players?
Ed Hemingway replied to kris1984's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
The problem is that the type of person who can make 100 million is by default unlikely to be easily parted from part of it at the best of times, not to mention for emotional reasons. So someone such as the Easdales, no. However a "...We need bailed out by a rich Ranger who does not want anything in return" yes, definitely. I accept it's easy to sit posting on a forum and say "If I'd the money I'd bail us out" and another to actually go through with it. Still, how many constants have there been in life worth preserving and giving opportunity to recover and grow? (That's one of those rhetorical questions, BTW...) If you're a Rangers man (or woman) and you've taken care of your family, then look to both the past and the present of the club, and further become a part of it. -
Are We Ever Going To See Agood Rangers Team Again
Ed Hemingway replied to kingtom80's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
It's been a grind. Inch by inch wearing everyone and everything down; the squad, the support, and even the stadium. But I believe it'll pass. -
Don't get many second chances in life, especially with something like this. Maybe it's time to take as much good from a bad situation as possible.
-
I don't believe in luck, but as the saying goes 'third time lucky?' - we had two chances before to get rid of the deadwood and rebuild the team (and the whole setup) from scratch; with PLG and then when the bastards sent us down the divisions. Maybe this is the right time to finally do it?

Are We Ever Going To See Agood Rangers Team Again
Ed Hemingway replied to kingtom80's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Of course. It'll pass. And that's one of the reasons whenever we've been having a good time (trebles with Greig and DJ and wee Doddie) or the team with Albertz and Laudrup and Gazza I've always made sure I'm appreciating it. In a way it makes the absolute crap were exposed to right now even worse, but like someone has said earlier in this thread it'll get better and when it does it'll be great. -
That was it, as casual as you like - a soft wee pass to roll it in front of Nade... I know he was on the deck, but you still do all you can to get the ball away.
-
That's the first name that came to my mind too. Whether or not he's the best option is another question, however he's perhaps the most obvious one.
-
Short answer: yes. Longer answer: '1872'. We'll always be around (regardless of the wishes and actions of others) and after what we've been through over the last few years can and will only go from strength to strength.

Everyone has their price. Or to put it another way, we all draw the 'line in the sand' at which point we're prepared to step over. The difference is that for some of us that line is so far away it might as well not exist, whereas for others it was under their toes the whole time and they were just waiting for the opportunity to throw themselves over it. Don't know why I bothered typing all that; "Fuck him" is still more fitting.
-
I wish I could be more constructive than simply saying "Fuck him". But I can't, because that's about all that's worth saying about him.

Players You Were Surprised Did Not Sign For Us.
Ed Hemingway replied to tannerall's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
I was going to suggest Kevin MacDonald, but I think we ended up signing him on loan? Anyway, he was another of those good, solid pros that Souness seemed to favour, especially in midfield. -

John Wark. Particularly after he left Liverpool. -
Kieran Duffy To Be Mascot At Raith Game
Ed Hemingway replied to julescotia's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Glad to hear it. For a number of reasons it's a good thing (including the fact that it'll hopefully keep the assault in the news, for at least long enough to get the bastard who did it) but also because it could ensure that one of the most memorable days in his life will rightly be a positive one. I hope it's like magic for him. -
