Giving this guy anything other than an appearance-based deal would be lunacy.

Kenny Miller - 1 Year Contract Extension
longbeachbear replied to one55's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Veteran squad player signs extension. It only becomes an issue if we don't strengthen up-front before the summer. -
It is quite sad that this is is the sort of tactics a young manager resorts to. In fact it makes me despair of Scottish football.
-
Was that the day big Amoruso got a right bad one? Him missing most of that season was one of the many factors that screwed us.
-
Probably best to look towards pre-contract deals now. A striker and a holding midfielder being key areas which need to be addressed before next season starts.

Oduwa..

The boy looked like a good prospect when he broke through. I think he would have thrived under our current gaffer, oddly enough.

Well Didnt That Kick Us In The Arse
longbeachbear replied to Jimfanciesthedude's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
We have an extremely bright manager. He has already transformed our side beyond recognition. Tonight may turn-out to be a blessing-in-disguise in the long term. -
I pay so little attention to that league.. I couldn't even name one St Johnstone player now. I have a vague recollection of us being linked with one of their midfielders a while back.

Templeton - Is He A Lost Cause?
longbeachbear replied to DennyBlueNose's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Templeton has been a horrible waste of resources. A panic signing, seldom fit and questionable contribution when he does play. He's been unlucky with injuries but how much of that is down to his own lifestyle choices? -
Daily Record Headline

Indeed. Incubator Company. I hope this happens, I would love our old company back. DGAF what the tims think about it. -
Here in the US, thank goodness, with no tims anywhere near me.

I Had The Pleasure And Honour Last Night

I had forgotten that guy even existed. Which was nice. -
1987 Skol Cup Final. Pishing down with rain. Not a bad game. :-)

Darren Anderton is half-Scots and played in about five hundred senior games throughout his career!

Time To End The Boardroom Section?
longbeachbear replied to berkshirebear's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
No. It keeps all the point-scoring and most of the bickering concentrated in one area. -
The Olympics brouhaha did seem to sour things. To compete for your country at that level is massive but we paid his wages and made him financially secure. I think we only narrowly missed-out against Moscow that year.. he could have made a difference and he was our captain.. As a player he was a big, strong, nasty centre-back who worked well with the more-flamboyant Amoruso. Decent threat going forward at set-pieces too. He was up against Larsson, Sutton and Hartson and gave as good as he got against them. I would love him to be in our team right now!
-
I think he was keen to go tbh.

We need squad players at this level for the short term while the manager plans ahead.

This is a sensible post.

I thought it was a haiku..

Based On What We've Seen The Last Couple Of Nights...
longbeachbear replied to rosco88's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
We have a great chance to make-up ground on them. They are still obviously ahead of us in most areas but they have been very complacent. Our club requires significant investment - not necessarily on silly transfer fees - to get back to health but at the start of this year things looked very grim whereas now we are a very different proposition. -
A player who epitomises the McCoist regime. Good riddance!
