  1. I think Sky etc can only ever pay a limited amount of money towards football, they're probably near that limit already with the EPL (hopefully), I doubt that if the Chinese & Russian league pour millions in, they will still never get as much money every year as EPL currently as I don't think the world can sustain that every year, and I doubt they would ever become as big as Match Of The Day even on highlights but who knows. Even if China & Russia pour loads of cash in I will never want to watch them in highlights I guess unless they got to a CL final. To be honest if the EPL deal is 300 million every year then hopefully it needs to stop becoming bigger every year, all of the (vastly inflated in England usually) money overpaid usually EPL & Madrid etc. players probably get just goes into making property and season tickets etc. dearer for everyone else especially in England If Sky gave our leagues an extra 20 mil a year instead of English leagues it could give us and them so much more of a tangible benefit even for viewing figures etc.
  2. Every time I watch the Europa League some team I have never heard of look good and beat or nearly beat EPL teams etc., that would be really boring if the try to change the CL rules to stop allowing champions in and just turning it into a rich losers club I don't even watch the CL much unless it was last 16 onwards but I would stop watching it until the final if this became the case
  3. I like the attacking force of Leicester and Vardy etc., I like Spurs and their youthful elegance they have created along with great talents like Christian Eriksen, I like Arsenal too with their modicum of excellent passing football and Ozil & Sanchez ps Warburton is apparently a Tottenham fan, maybe if they won the league maybe that could help convince him to stay here for longer hopefully haha
  4. If you watch the highlights of the last two games, Wilson hit a header off the bar against Kilmarnock at about 70 mins, and he also nearly scored into the top corner yesterday from a shot inside the box which forced their keeper into a bit of a wonder save. I think he has looked resolute in recent weeks, along with Kiernan and apart from a lucky corner yesterday they have been solid.
  5. You and saddaaa are the roasters mate Wilson hasn't conceded more than one goal this season that was solely his own fault.... yet he takes flak on here every time it's not 4-0. Ambrose has basically near single-handedly got them put out of Europe twice at least with the amount of soft goals he concedes with individual errors, at least 5x more individual errors than Wilson - yet basically everyone on here has already made their mind up and think they know it all when they're wrong. My point Wilson is more of a false scapegoat to us than Ambrose is to them and that's worrying. Posting dour stuff on here and turning the place into a morgue doesn't help anyone, neither does trying to pinpoint specific players as an issue when they weren't, I take it you're just one of the people who were posting "Hibs are going to beat us" "Stokes is going to score a barrel load for them this season" etc yesterday after the draw only to get embarrassed later on
  6. looking at some people's comments since the result The sort of comments I would expect Hubz fans etc. to make. At least our player and manager pressers fill you with belief that we won't let any more teams draw with us, they are probably more irate about the draw than the dour people moaning about it here, their heads are firmly screwed on (unlike some) and they are irate at the result, without channeling it the wrong way. I guess it's just the cool thing to try and do, to try and spit the dummy out the pram, or try pretend that you know what's wrong when you don't when it isn't 4-0 every week. The same people trying to slate our results etc were like this at the start of the season [or were they] (and will be like that come the end of this season) so get off the team's back and stop douring things up, coming on here and posting negative stuff doesn't help anyone, neither does coming on here and saying Hubz will win because they're not going to. I remember one match where Man United hit 70 crosses into the box against West Ham and didn't score from one of them. I think all of the "try something different" brigade act as if that's what is happens to us every match Even the RTV commentators said at around 30 minutes 'Rangers are excellent at mixing their attacks up'
  7. How about just not trying to blame a specific player, because, apart from not scoring, no specific players were really the only ones at fault It's probably the cool thing to do right enough, to try and pretend you know what you are talking about and try push the blame onto specific players, instead of just saying, ah, we were unlucky today but we will win the league and Alloa will be relegated, form is temporary class is permanent let's support our team Efe Ambrose makes more costly, and more numerous errors than our entire defence by the look of it, but yet on here our defence get slated for no reason week on week, even if we don't concede, if I looked at Kerryfail st I doubt they sit and slate/try to slaughter Ambrose every week like some peopel try to make our players scapegoats
  8. Hubz won't be catching up with us on points this season, that's a fact I watched the full Hubz 90 minutes against Livi 0-0 yesterday, instead of coming on here before that match and saying "Hibs will catch us" "Stokes will score barrel loads for them" etc like other people were doing yesterday You've got to support your team not spit the dummy out when our 25 shots don't get more than one goal every match, cause the people who try spit the dummy out just bring negativity towards our players from the stand then don't support them unless it's 4-0, we don't really need that. I think it will be a win on Tuesday, a win in the next league match, a win against Hibs next game then all the people crying about a draw will stop moaning hopefully, our team already are irate at the draw if you watch their interviews
  9. It's not so much that we tried to pass the ball in the net, it's that Alloa narrowed the pitch by a huge amount which allowed them to sit static in their box blocking everything, even when we had the ball at the byline, we hit at least 5 shots from outside the box today, we had 23 corners, at least 10 of which were whipped in high, most of those corners were because of blocked shots and because it was so narrow
  10. Let's just close our eyes until Tuesday when we win and then win again after that and everything will be alright come the end of the season
  11. I think Alloa basically narrowed the entire pitch so that they didn't close us down at all really during the full match , they were static in their box for the full game and not closing down until it was in the box basically, we hit 25 shots but probably 14 were blocked by them doing that, and then about 6 saves. We will win on Tuesday.
  12. Not sure if it was really him who was at fault for us conceding mate, and Wilson nearly scored with a shot at around 70 minutes.
  13. I think we should have won both games, we hit Alloa's post and crossbar at least twice today. The amount of saves and blocks they made compared to us today was frustrating, they scored from a corner whereas we had about 15 corners. At least MOH scored on his first start. I thought King looked like he gave us a whole new dynamic when he came on and I think he's a good player.
  14. I remember the time we humped Alloa 7-0 about 2 years ago, we absolutely passed them all over the place and ran rings round them
  15. that link audio sounds tinny, let's hope it improves, I've switched to BeeTV link 2 as they usually seem to work well
  16. To be honest, this might be for the OT forum, but I think a laptop is much better to watch stuff on. If you compare like £500 for the latest phone, compared to £250 for a great laptop, I would choose a laptop and a £30 phone
  17. http://s1074.photobucket.com/user/mrflccrfc/media/20150912%20WALLACE%20Lee%20rfc%205%20livi%200%20LWGoal1%20Angle1_zpsxl3jrv5f.gif.html?sort=3&o=0 Waldo long range stunner this season GIF - 7mb so couldn't post it
  18. Time to put the pieces and bacon on in time for kick off, look forward to seeing O'Halloran and Forresters first full starts. Think this will be a 4-0 to 7-0.
  19. Has Papac scored a thunderbolt from 40 yards? No, also don't believe he has scored against sellik either unlike Waldo who has The way you talk about the CL sounds like a tim mate Also, Waldo has played in the CL for Rangers against Malmo so I don't know why you seem to be quick to try slate him ..
  20. Thought it was a good piece, I think it's certainly true that people always look for someone to blame when you don't win even though that's not always the case and sometimes you just ddon't get the bounce of the ball etc.
  21. Lee Wallace, when we win 55 he will be our captain and will become one of if not the only player in Rangers history to win the title in every division for us
  22. It's like saying, do you want a chance (to work hard) to get a crack at what could be your dream to be a Rangers player, or do you want to take an easier option and work less hard possibly with less of a jump into the unknown where you know you can sit back and watch other people do what you (might have) thought could be your dream. I think if you ask a true bluenose like Halliday they will always take the first option like he has done and worked hard and done well enough that Rangers re-signed him some years after we released him from youth, after he forged a career for himself at other clubs like Livi and in England. Halliday talked in an earlier in the season RTV interview about signing for Rangers and how it is his dream basically.
  23. http://www.<No links to this website>/sport/football/football-news/scottish-fa-accuse-fraser-wishart-7360212#Xd89cEfmt4Wtwioy.97 I just noticed this article as well mate which was released today, the SFA's response to it which basically says that they regulate the pitches well, so who knows but maybe there's still a difference in the consistency at least anyway
  24. Read the 5th & 6th last lines of the Fraser Wishart article then mate. Clearly it isn't as regulated currently as you're trying to make out just by saying fifa standard. Here is that part of the article again mate: It's also been pointed out by our manager in the presser that there isn't even much consistency in the levels of synthetic pitch here currently, as well as by Fraser Wishart
