We still need three 'box office players' players in my opinion. A centre half, a no.9 and a no. 10 - leaders who would walk straight into the starting eleven. That's gonna cost money of course. King keeps getting flak for not 'getting his chequebook' out but he tried to get significant funds into the club through a new share issue but of course fat Mike and some other dodgy shareholders blocked that - until fat Mike is completely out of our club then we can only dream about the above 3 players.

When I think of all the players that left he has probably been the most successful. More than holding his own in a very useful Southampton team and had a fantastic euro qualifying campaign with his country. Was he pish - is he pish? He would walk into our current team right now.

To bring some balance to this extremely aggressive and animated thread ?? Davis and the rest of the squad took pay cuts in the hope of smoothing rangers through an administration process . That of course in hindsight was futile because Whyte was a charlatan. What I can't understand is the continual hatred and vitriol Davis, mcgregor etc get on here (obviously I'm excluding naismith and whittaker from this because of that press conference) when David Murray gets away with any abuse. He is the no.1 culprit for me in this whole sorry shambles. One, the way he ran us and he would only defend himself, not us the fans) Two, he claims he was duped by Whyte - that there is the biggest single most scandalous act over anything or anyone else. Not Whyte, not Green, not the sfa/spl and most certainly not the players. There's a wide range of opinions on team selection, formations, player ratings etc. In relation to the defence I think Warburton knows it needs strengthened. However he's got to be careful how he communicates that as he can't slag off keirnan or Wilson publicly. The issue there is getting in better defenders within the budget. I'm certain we will get another defender in but it will be most probably on transfer deadline day. It's not just about MW though, the board have to step up and ensure the calibre of player brought in can lead us to the title.

Take your hat off if you so wish but keirnan is, and never will be a Rangers centre half who'll contribute to us winning the title

To be honest this thread is much ado about nothing. Some fans want to buy merchandise which some on here are defending - and that's fair enough. However it's quite clear that the vast majority of Rangers fans are NOT buying the merchandise and that's having the effect that others are arguing for. So in summary, let whoever wants to buy the new tops do so but for the boycotters please don't fret about it because the protest is having a clear affect. Something will have to give, and very soon I hope ?

Tips, predictions, forecasts eh? Bookies prey on them all. Currently watching Newcastle (who are being widely tipped to coast this league) toiling against Fulham. It will be decided both on the field of play and in the transfer market. Frankly, if we don't get at least one centre half in of a decent quality then I wouldn't fancy us either. If they qualify for the champions league then it's a double edged sword - major financial boost against heavy fixture congestion. Not a great fan of card displays I always remember the inter Milan years ago when we done it with the three stands but nobody could clap when the teams came out - felt a bit weird Just prefer a huge combination of clapping and cheering finished off with TBB but maybe I'm getting old!

Halliday and Rossiter will both have a huge part to play this season. Sometimes one will start and sometimes the other will get the nod. And sometimes they'll both play. Either way I don't care, as long at the team is playing to a high standard and on a consistent basis then I don't care who's in. It's all about the Rangers
