  1. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/news-and-comment/more-chelsea-fans-arrested-for-racist-chants-than-any-other-premier-league-club-home-office-stats-10056572.html Sorry mate, you've got your opinion and I've got mine
  2. You're shooting the messenger mate. I'm a 50yr old rangers fan who USED to sing the whole song book Nowadays if you display discriminatio/prejudice in any form - chants/singing/banners it will get confronted in various forms. I've no doubt that if you threw bananas or monkey chanted at a coloured person or abused a Jewish person it would be acted upon . In fact spurs fans (who are said to have a strong growth Jewish element in their support) have been warned about using the word 'Yid' crazy but true - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/tottenham-hotspur/10359757/Tottenham-fan-arrested-over-Y-word-chant-during-Premier-League-defeat-by-West-Ham.html
  3. It's not a rant mate,it's just the way it is we live in a PC society now. And yes religion is a choice but does the Church of Scotland condone singing no Pope of Rome?
  4. I keep reading 'only in this country' but that's bollocks. A couple of years ago there was a worldwide furour when Chelsea fans wouldn't let a black guy on a tube train in Paris. Referees have walked off the park in Holland several times. Black players in Spain and Italy have threatened to walk off- in one instance one did. It's plain fact that racial or religious intolerance is being hammered all over the world. If we sing no Pope of Rome it's gonna get acted upon in some form - that's just the way it is
  5. Absolutely not but of course they're not connected in anyway. All those Palestinian flags in republican ghettos are just a coincidence.
  6. I noticed that after that Palestinian/Hamas love in the other evening that Jewish graves got vandalised in West Belfast - sweep sweep http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-37199390
  7. Well it confirms one thing. If you sing it plod could lift you Best save it for the bus to and from the game or in the unlikely event that everyone could sing another version of the 'dodgy line' we could resurrect it
  8. Altogether now the cry was no durrender Durrender or you'll sigh With dart in sand and cord and field We'll lard old Terry's halls
  9. The standard of player in this country has been slipping year on year for the last 30 years Hopefully something radical and innovative is going on at Auchenhowie because we do need it a successful youth academy. For me scouting is fundamental in this. Wouldnt expect it to happen tomorrow though.
  10. Would that be the ch's that got beat by stenhousemuir - so far their only victory this season? Yep, let's get them in ?
  11. Not really, I mostly disagree with the op - we are miles short and Windass won't make up the gap.
  12. I take it a pepperami is pushing it .............?
  13. I'm in W H Smith at the moment- is it alright to buy a twix?
  14. We haven't gone from Barca to Barnet in no time. We've hardly kicked a ball since back end of March. And that's playing against teams like raith rovers, st Mirren, QoS We've have a fundamental problem in the heart of our defence since MW arrived. It should have been the priority over the summer transfer market yet all that's happened is we've signed a 38yr who turns slower than a pint of milk and scrambling to sign a 31 yr old defender that no one else wants. That new share issue is a priority now. We need a major capital injection because we are miles short.
  15. Posted earlier in the week that his honeymoon was about to end. Think this thread is the start. He looked rattledtonight. I also think he looked rattled the day after the pampers pullers qualified for the champions league and the financial boost that entails. he's not daft, he will know it's him or Brenda over the next 12 months and that Brenda has much more resources to work from.
  16. I would have Barrie in the middle of the park playing off a front two One thing never often mentioned about him is his passing ability, and of course he can get a decent shot away. Most times having him out wide allows defenders to double up on him and trap him in a cul de sac The middle of the park allows him 360 degree football
  17. If you watched the champions league qualifier the other night, and indeed malmo last year, then the best way to get in about ra Sellack is with pace and aggression. So Halliday Rossiter and Windass in midfield with Forrester McKay and O'Halloran up top But oh my fuck two things 2 centre half's will keep it tight at the back? Answers on a postcard
  18. Why is it almost everyone on this thread can see it yet Warburton and weir can't?
  19. Winning ugly for a hundred years - wtf!!!! Yeh, sometimes results have to be grinded out, that's what champions have always done Morton, McPhail, Gillick, Waddell, Baxter, Henderson, Wilson, Cooper, Walters, Laudrup, Gascoigne - what the fuck is ugly with that? Rangers have been a mix of passion, commitment, loyalty, never say die and no little skill for over 140 years.
