I agree. The abuse is a bit OTT but some of the guys on here work 40 hours a week just to be able to go to a game so they are entitled to be angry and vent. Will be unpopular but i don't think it's entirely down to Waghorn. No strikers have shined at Rangers playing up top on their own under Warbs or Pedro. We have a habit of working the ball out wide then punting it in the box to a striker who is up against 3 defenders most of the time. Waghorn has 3 carrer hat tricks for us. He started the championship season with 14 goals and a player of the month award before that Steven Smith tackle at Killie fucked him up. This season he scored a cracking goal on opening day to equalise against Hamilton and started the season with 5 goals in 4 games. I thought he was great against Celtic during the 1-1 game..Never gave the defenders a minutes peace, pressed the ball brilliantly and ran his arse off but all he gets is abuse for his missed chances which i get. But i dont think he was worse than Garner who we praised as the new Sebo.

With the type of players he has bought he seems to be focusing on one up top. I dont think players like Pena and Kranjcar would fit into a 4 4 2. His gameplan started well the other night with Dalcio & Miller cutting in and supporting as well as Niko. Thats why Miller is played as a winger. Most teams that deploy it successfully have goal scoring wingers who cut it and get their goals, Barcelona did it with David Villa and Henry, Pedro Neymar etc, Chelsea use Hazard the same way, Muller at Bayern so hopefully that will come with time and work on the formation. I d like to see us play with 3 at the back and go 3 5 2 with Wallace and Tav as wing backs. Thats gives you the 2 up top without losing one of the creative/attacking mids but i dont know shit compared to the guys with badges.

I think Wallace is in the same bracket as the likes of Waggy and Tavernier. Looked oustanding at lower league/championship level where his fit ess was head and shoulders above the opponents but he is average in the prem. I thought he was average last season for the majority even before bis injury but he gets away with much more from the fans due to his loyalty.

I like the idea of two up top. Its ok creating and getting the ball out to the wings but we did that enough last season and were simply popping the ball into the box where one striker was against 2 or 3 defenders. Both Hererra and Merelos look like the type of players who work well with someone alongsode them up top where i think Kenny will be useful. Also see a lot of people mentioning Dalcio in the starting 11 but i'm worried he is another Dodoo. Hasnt featured much for anyone and apparently he is more of a midfielder than out and out winger. Hopefully Jamie Walker arrives and fills one of the wide roles.

Windass has potential i think but theres no time for potential in our team just now. He looked bright towards the end of the season especially against Hearts where he made some great runs supporting the attackers and got a man sent off for them but theb failed to turn up the next game. Would like to see him stay and devlop but wouldnt be too bothered to see him go either.

I am a fan of Big Wes. He is a great shot stopper and good on one on ones. There were a few games last season he kept the scoresheet reasonable. Yes, he may not be commanding in the box....Was Klos? We have been spoiled for years with great keepers from Gorum to shagger so naturally our expectations are high but i do think with a good back line Wes is fine.

One thing that is for sure in this whole debacle is that we can't panic and rush into a decision here. I think this is arguably our biggest decision on a manager in the history of our club where we have to give them 3 years or whatever to stop them. We also have to stand by him. We can't financially compete with 'them' just now and sure, it matters who has the biggest stick, but Claudio Raneri showed us it matters a hell of a lot more who is swinging it. Still not sure about FdB. I agree he is probably the best name we have been linked with however. Whilst it's difficult to judge him on his Inter Milan tenure, it's equally as difficult to judge him on his Ajax tenure. Yes he won 4 in a row, but he did so with players at his disposal such as Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Christian Eriksen, Luis Suarez, Blind, De Jong, Milik, and more household names. He also had many Warberton traits. When he changed tactics or made subs, it was only really to shift around personnel without any alterations to the game plan and as such, good opponents eventually developed the ability to neutralise Ajax for the most part. Even a brief glance at his short Inter Milan stint shows them 12th in Serie A and last in the Europa League. My main concern with him is his lack of experience as well as ability to handle pressure. On the bright side thoigh his record against them is not bad. Played 3 won 2 drawn 1. :)
