Its something I never thought I would say but I actually feel a bit sorry for him. I do believe he regrets that press conference and will do till the day he dies. He was set up by his bitter celtic supporting employment lawyer and he fell for it big time. Unfortunately some thing cant be undone.

"Set up"? Neither Naismith or Whittaker are so simple as to not know that they were adults and could have said "no" to the press conference. They both did it, willingly, to alert any and all clubs interested in them that they were available for nothing, and to preemptively hurt any attempt by Rangers to claim compensation. They were in no way victims of a big bad celtic supporter - that's an excuse to absolve them of responsibility for their actions.

Really hope some English Championship team signs him next summer to put an end to the "we should sign Naismith" stuff once and for all.

The Albanian manager rates Grezda very highly.  He said Grezda could've gone to a better standard of league rather than joining us or words to that effect.  The Albanian managers comments aside, It does seem like everyone who has worked with Grezda rates him so there's got to be a player there.

I don't doubt his quality - just think it'd be better to let him focus on regaining fitness and getting into our starting XI at this time. If he gets some time on the pitch for Albania and improves his match fitness then fair enough, but if he doesn't it's a waste as he'd have taken part in bounce games for us to get up to speed.

Take your point but that fucking press conference is the difference. At a time when we as a club and fanbase needed our proper "Rangers men" to stand up Naismith actually had the fucking cheek to say "its no Rangers anymore" and give every taig scumbag a fucking field day. It NEVER can be forgiven imo

Plus he didn't seem to think he'd made a mistake until after he wasn't doing so well at Everton. Even then he merely tried to shirk any blame, and bemoaned not being able to take his kids to Ibrox.

  4. Judas rat bastard who was neither "just badly advised" nor remorseful - he's a mercenary cunt who thinks we're daft enough to welcome him back and pay him over £20K per week for the privelege. (And going by the love for him on Follow Follow, for example, it sadly seems a fair number of fans would welcome him back.)

  5. I'd have Katić and Barišić in the team, but Worrall and Flanagan have each had two good games consecutively, so hard to argue against the starting XI - especially when Gerrard has been criticised for rotation of late.

Personally, I'm happy we now have options in different positions to the point we can actually debate who we think should start; each player has different strengths and weaknesses too, rather than being carbon copies.

All my hard work for nothing

Not true, mate - I check it after every game.

Candeias is one of our most important players, in my opinion. Maybe not one of the best, but Tav plays better when he's in the team, and he's got a good relationship - on and off the pitch - with Morelos. Also doesn't approach things with a massive ego; can see he works on developing that understanding with others in the team. Seems to me that he's one of the leaders of the team when we're playing well too - type who leads by example (like on Thursday night).

It would be done surreptitiously and they would always maintain deniability. It would be a tacit nod to favour local councils and communities with a particular "identity".  It would be double standards that it's difficult to bring someone to account for.

Surely you can see such things at play already? The SNP is key part of the process of vilifying the PUL/Rangers community. There is an affiliation of "like minded" individuals in central government, local government and the media at large happy to push/endorse a quiet agenda that aims to portray (and ultimately establish) our wider community as undesirable.

By voting SNP you are exacerbating the problem.

You realise you're wasting your time, aye? Anyone who believes the SNP don't court the minorities has to ignore the comments made by several SNP politicians and officials, including endorsing IRA killings. You're never going to get someone who employs those sort of mental gymnastics to admit that the SNP, at least under its present leadership, very much courts those with Irish republican sympathies.

Yep - that’s about the age I reckoned he was 12 or maybe 13 at a push - his comments were so juvenile

Is it not more juvenile on your part, as a grown adult, to not just leave it be if you thought he was a child? Still, if your party have their way you could soon report such behaviour to his named person.

Delighted with the work he’s been doing I remember a lot of people on the transfer forum being very underwhelmed by him signing wonder if they think the same now

    No.

    How's your neighbours?

There's this clown behind us that's done nothing but slate Moralesssss for the past year, another that if a pass goes astray it's as if somebody's punched his kidneys in.

    Most are alright though.

Someone two seats down from me spent the entire game against Rapid screaming that Morelos is pish and offers nothing to the team. He also wants Naismith back.

Are you on friends and family with him , if not you probably won’t get seats together.

I was placed next to my dad & sister last year, and didn't know you could even request that - assumed someone saw the same surname and address, and used common sense. Adding them to friends & family now.

Hoi the Souness years comment is harsh there's loads of us who weren't born until after then. Do you class us as glory hunters?

I didn't read his comment that way, but it's a fairly valid point - tens of thousands stayed away from Ibrox during Wallace's second stint, but were clamouring for tickers once Souness arrived. Those of us that grew up during 9IAR and after have largely stuck by the club over the last seven years though, so not many would label us glory hunters.

As a group of fans we seem to value this above all else.

Kent has nowhere near the quality McKay had in his range of passing, first touch or shooting. Or isn't showing he does yet anyway imo.

If only McKay had his workrate, which I can't for the life of me understand why the penny doesn't look like it's going to drop for him, as it's the easiest part of football to improve on.

When McKay could be arsed his range of passing was good, sure. But more often that not he could not deliver a cross into an empty box if his life depended on it. I'll take the guy that wins free kicks in dangerous areas and is involved in the build up to goals most games over the guy who has a really good game one time out of five.

McKay under Gerrard, or Kent under whasisface? You choose.

Kent. McKay has proven again at Nottingham and Swansea that his form is erratic; Kent has consistently put a shift in. If anything McKay has become a better player in the minds of some since he left us - they remember him at his very best, but forget how shite he was at other times.

McKay was someone I really wanted to succeed at Rangers, but he's a Josh Windass type. He'll never be consistent enough or have the mentality to play for a team that is expected to win trophies.

not much between Arfield and Dorrans talent wise.

Both are talented players. Dorrans was just unfortunate last season that the managers we had just tried to shoehorn him in rather than think about what he could actually contribute. I expect as the season moves on he'll feature regularly under Stevie G, who already has an idea of what Dorrans can contribute.

Awesome didn't know he was a fan.

He kept it quiet when he was with the McGuigans, as they were trying to promote him as an inverse of Barry - Protestant married to a Catholic whereas with Barry it was the other way around - so they had him avoid topics like the Old Firm and unionism. Over the last year he's openly tweeted about the walks on the 12th, Rangers and other topics that before he'd just subtly hint at.

  17. Guy sitting two seats away from me was screaming all second half about how pish Morelos is and how he offers absolutely nothing. He left before the third goal, but even then I was wondering what game he was watching. Morelos worked his socks off.

can't fault the lad at all. He had a great night.

    I still prefer Katic.

Aye, same. Worrall had a good game, but I've not been overly impressed with him before tonight, and I'd rather we revert to Goldson & Katić for Hearts. Those two have developed an understanding already, and it's a game we have to win.

Still, he should be very proud of his performance - especially as his only other experience of European football was the Villarreal game. Looks like he's settled in fairly quickly too.
