  1. Unfortunately he's too old, but on the balance he deserves another year. Goldson can go, Davies too. Souttar will probably stay but we need a min of 2 new CB's next season.
  2. It doesn't matter if Tav has one OK game. He's turning in far too many 2/10 jobs when it matters at the business end of the season, so has to go. He goes with my thanks and best wishes but lets just end this amicably now instead of horribly in a year.
  3. It’s all about turning the screw now. Even though there’s no points today getting the cup will compound things for them. Biggest cup final for us (aside from Seville) in years.
  4. Sick of looking back at players who have been good for us previously. Kent doesn’t deserve to wear the shirt again after the way he chucked it last season. Even when he was good he was never consistent enough with goals. Gave us some great moments but that’s no reason to take him back now. Would rather go out and permanently sign someone for the position.
  5. No need to abuse him but he is not and never will be good enough and it’s fine to discuss that here
  6. Of course I will but that’s not my point. He will continue to fuck us over at either end of the pitch and sometimes that will cost us. His lucky goals can’t mask that, we deserve better
  7. The fact he’s hiding behind his deflected goals and technical assists says it all. The guy can get so far to fuck
  8. Mainly Dessers in the media saying he thinks he’s done well and his numbers are good. TBH probably a bit unfair on Lammers, it’s more body language etc. Might just be blinded by my hate for him lol.
  9. He’s a horrible angry little fuck as well. Him and Dessers seem genuinely surprised/pissed off about the criticism they are getting. One screamer a good player maketh not.
  10. He’s played them in the three games he’s had when we’ve been devastated by injury so wouldn’t call it loyalty. That said I’m surprised both started today. I think he’ll learn from that. Danilo and Wright (can’t believe I’m saying this for the latter) would get the nod from me
  11. Please let’s not play sterling. Boy looks like dug meat. would actually play Davies, bit more experience and has played the position before. Devine for me is an average player, maybe different if it was right back we were talking about
  12. Aye not if he keeps this scoring rate up. Brighton are a team that will sell good players every summer so if someone comes in for Mitoma etc. they’ll fall back on their current squad, like Sima. Especially if he has a good season and continues to score in Europe. £5M to sign him? Get real
  13. No problem with any former player forming part of the backroom team as long as they are qualified and have no real links/friendships with any of the current squad. We can't have anyone being sentimental and someone staying in the team who doesn't deserve their place just because someone has the ear of the gaffer. Not saying Clement would have the wool pulled over his eyes like that but still wouldn't take the chance. I personally think Neil McCann or similar could offer a lot in a coaching role.
  14. anyone, I'd rather chuck Barasic up top
  15. If he starts Dessers on Thursday then he can GTF
  16. This is my fear too, but holding out onto some hope that some of them are salvageable. I think the only ones to rule out of any sort of redemption are Dessers and Lammers probably. Though I suspect Dowell will be injured constantly and Sterling may be rubbish but not seen enough to say. I'm personally more worried about replacing Tav, getting a couple of new CB's and some decent wide players.
  17. That's actually an interesting point. Hopefully they aren't too stubborn to ask for help on this since we don't have a DoF. God knows who they go to though.
  18. Unless it turns into an utter shit show I'd rather Davis was given as much time as needed to appoint a DoF and then they can appoint a manager. Realistically we need to find someone who has experience, can work with the majority of the existing squad but due to our financial constraints will probably have to look in some pretty niche areas. Nobody on this forum can do that, that's why we need to invest in someone who can but that will take time. Muscat, Potter, Hassenhutl, Lampard are all worrying for different reasons. And if we appoint an SPFL jobber like Martindale or McInnes I'll never set foot in that stadium again until the current board is removed. Dave King - some back and save us.
  19. No it isn’t. He’s a head case fantasist
  20. That’s my point. Both managers have either played east opposition or their games haven’t had much riding on them. That list is so misleading. Walter Smith not even on it.
  21. Have the team and manager not had enough reality checks that they haven’t responded to already? At the end of the day we don’t have the players to rebound since he’s signed so much utter dross. I’m reasonably confident for the Livi game but the other three have danger written all over them. We will be looking for a new manager during the next international break if not before
  22. The fact that Ally is second on that list says it all
  23. I agree the next full time manager needs to be considered and not rushed in. that being said, we should act now to get in a proper experienced interim manager who can sort out the basics so that the next guy is working from a better place
  24. Why the fuck was a player he has tried to force out all summer starting? Just smacks of throwing in a new player and hoping for the best or hoping he puts in a performance to prove him wrong. nothing against wright personally but he’s shite and the fact he has to be on our bench in Europe because Beale fucked ip recruitment so spectacularly is embarrassing
