The thing is defending and attacking free kicks is just as important as crossing, defending and going for goal in open play, woefully underestimated by us
-
There’s a reason I sit in BF2 for a better match day experience and it isn’t the view.
Morgue apart from their corner and even worse today without them, embarrassing, you wonder how many away fans go to home games and why the difference is so apparent.
-
They had Crouch no that long ago, they should count themselves lucky to even be where they are.
Wage structure is an absolute joke so the talent they have is mental considering that
-
Hopefully in a few years he’s ready to play understudy to an older, solid keeper
Wes would be first out the door for me, weakest link in a fully fit team

A fair point, if you believe that though it's all relative, we still have a good budget that should easily beat the other side's bar them. We just aren't using it well.
I'd say there are still good players who could be signed on a bosman. I know Joey Barton didn't work out, but it shows players are attracted to coming here. A player who had just had an immense season chose to join us.
We should be doing more to bring in young talent. There's a few in that team that are home grown and contributed.
Use a scouting system to try and find a few bargains.
Most importantly add quality where it counts. That team is hardly full of world class players, but it's got a team of internationals/players who have played in big leagues and done well.
I still think it's achievable for us to get good players in.
Don’t get me wrong we can still get cheap young players to develop and decent frees or more experienced players but long gone are the days of Novo’s, Weir’s, Ferguson’s etc
apart from McGinn, Mulumbu and maybe a couple of younger boys as last resort squad players there’s absolutely nobody that would offer anything to us, at all
i dread to think of the amount half the players Rangers had from the 00’s would cost in today’s market, maybe not amazing looking back but absolute winners, the ability to win and the mentality to match, I doubt there will ever be a Rangers team again for a very, very long time that will achieve anywhere near what the Manchester squad or the 3 in a row squad did

The irony in not wanting Ashley because he’s too tight fisted, heartless and in it for himself while maintaining this board and wanks like Johnston are all we can hope to put up with is unreal
10th in the BPL with Rafa compared to having a fenian kids coach who handed out bibs to 16 year olds before getting the gig while battling it out for 3rd ?

Absolutely probably the only player who I've seen on this topic that I'd actually like to see us sign.
For me there are deals to be had. You look at the team that played in the uefa cup final I've put approximate costs, probably got some wrong.
Alexander 500k
Broadfoot free
Weir free
Cellar 2.25m
Papa 450k
Hemdani free
Whitaker 2m
Ferguson one of our own
Thomson 2m
Davis on loan at the time
Darcheville free
Bench
Graeme Smith not a lot, (McGregor was also here of course and he was free)
Daily free
Adam one of our own
Faye loan
Boyd 400k
Novo 400k
Jig 2.25 mill
A squad for about 10 million. When I look at that squad it tells me we need
a good scouting network
a youth system that actually brings through good players
a manager who gets the best out of his team and knows how he wants to play.
A board who are prepared to/are capable of paying, decent wages.
We do none of the above 4 things at the moment.
Half those players don’t exist in Scotland anymore and never will again, certainly not for those prices
-
It’s also quite weird how some of the players have a really good relationship with him, you’d think they’d be absolutely disgusted at the cunt but since he’s left quite a few have been all pally
-
Said it time and time again the guys reeks of fenian in every single way imaginable, mentally unstable, zip chewing cunt
Still telling himself the players support him after Motherwell and the OF? plain as day they play for themselves only
-
Here how is it we ‘’can’t afford’’ proper 3-5 million coups but we can pay 4 million for him and Herrera on about 40 grand a week?
Funny that
-
Does anyone know if we are legally allowed to get him in every morning as early as possible and affectively work the fat wank to the bone, basically just look for any way to get him to down tools fully so we have the right to just dump him?

Gut says it's between Clarke, FDB and Neil.
MPH should be on the list but board blew that one going for failure mciness.
Warnock signed a new contract and Cardiff look likely to go up.
I’d go for Clarke or MPH personally, solid, no projects or buzzwords, just hard work.
Neil I don’t know enough about to fully judge but apparently he’s rhabid which is too far for me.
Warnock apparently wouldn’t go to the BPL again so if true due to his fondness for us I’d at least ask the question, another manager who doesn’t feed his own ego or believe his own hype and ‘philosophy’
-
Much better option than Mark Hughes, Pardew, Moyes, McInnes, Neil, FDB and the rest of the desperate times duds
Him, MPH, Warnock or Clarke
Imperative the next manager is held in far higher regard than the duds playing for us unless it’s completely justified

I don't know who liam Moore is or what he's like as a player, but Kipre albeit a good athlete looks a fucking abysmal player from the bits and pieces I've seen from him.
I know I keep saying this but we need players who can take care of a football seeing as we have the vast majority of possession in most games even when at our worst.
24 but linked with celtic and West Ham recently, considering Cardoso is 24 and hasn’t played 150 games in his career at a high level the guy would be a coup, strong, decent with the ball, pacey, maybe a tiny bit out of our price range if the 5 million price tag is correct but if it’s any lower we should pay that considering we spent 3.5 nearly 4 on Pena and Herrera, would rather we put seriously money down for him than spent countless millions on duds like Cardoso which we inevitably will because the board would rather spend a million here and there for years and years than actually get someone who would come in and do a serious job
Kipre would be decent backup I reckon in place of Bates/Cardoso but that’s it, just because we need so many players going forward, so short of options
-
From Souness to Holt
Would have loved to have been an older bear experiencing all the decades before me, what an experience
Best I can aspire to see is qualifying for Europe to get pumped by average teams
-
Liam Moore would be decent at CB, him or Bartley and Kipre as cheaper backup
-
The difference is by next season two of they cunts will have had a few seasons and are absolutely woeful with limited potential.
Morelos is a young boy being asked to spearhead our attack, create something from nothing and be the only one with a pair of balls.
He’s raw as fuck but unless I’m missing something even as a second striker or one of a two he is an absolute dream compared to fucking Garner.
He along with a good few others have had ZERO coaching and ZERO meaningful tactical input for about 6months, and I’d argue even before that.
Expecting McCrorie and Morelos to be consistent 9/10’s when we don’t even have a system, nevermind a good one, not a single decent coach, and no manager, absolute madness, enough to make anyone fucking crumble on the spot
Its the ones aged 24-30+ Ye should be expecting far more of, Tav, Fod, Windass, Dorrans, Alves, Miller are all far more culpable and at the age they should be far better in certain areas

I can’t even imagine what that’s like
The envy towards posters from both forums who have saw Rangers greats consistently from all the different decades is unreal mate, fucking torrid times, can’t even afford a 5m quid striker and cunts were watching us go after Brazilian Ronaldo no long ago
-
There was folk saying Nicholl and Murty looked like they don’t get on, quite obvious now that this has happened

This is a sobering post.
I was born at the beginning of our 9 in a row era and I was 10 years old before I experienced us not winning the title. After that my teenage years were the back and forth between us and them being successful.
Now I have a son who'll be 9 next month and he can't remember the last time we won the league. It's the younger fans I feel sorry for. They don't even have the memories of us being good.
It’s not so bad because I’ve still at least been a wee guy when titles were being won, I can’t imagine being 9 and putting up with this though, it’s no wonder wee laddies are supporting english teams more and more
-
19 years old and I can barely remember the sort of Rangers teams that were winning trophies, baring in mind there wasn’t proper live streams, easily accessible sky etc like now, I’d go off word of mouth at times especially not being taken to games.
Seems an absolute blur to me nevermind anyone younger, digusting what’s happened to the club

What utter pish.
He's there because he was told to be there. He remains an employee of the club.
He's leaving to better himself, because our shitty board wouldn't put up a shitey 7.5 k when there is an imposter playing next to him on four times that.
Yôu want to give it large, go tell it to the board, because that is the real reason we have shitebag imposters all through our squad that will never win fuck all.
Don’t talk sense mate, leaving Rangers is a crime punishable by death, never ever the board, league or owners fault..
-
Said it last week, Clarke or Warnock.
Go for a boring, solid, sensible choice who can work with a budget and motivate players.
How many times do we have to fall for a project? He’s a shite manager now anyway.

He’s always been quality going forward, it’s so easy to not play him at CDM where he’s chasing shadows, if we want to break teams down push him up or even play him at CAM.
Only player who can shoot from distance too
