I take your point about 'slump', although clearly its not a term Murty himself would be prepared to use.   
Murty is not a proper football manager of a calibre and experience needed at Rangers.  He just isn't.  When a company appoints a rookie learner manager to the most important job in the company - a job pivotal to the future success of the company - the company generally gets what it deserves in taking that sort of reckless gamble.   I don't think we will be any different.
A 4th or worse finish this season is surely bound to see a reaction from the Support.  A team going backwards under yet another ineffective manager points to a very strained time ahead even for King and his faithful board.   I think any previous board would by now have already been on the receiving end of vocal and sustained criticism from the Support.   
A tense time ahead to the end of the season.    Even King's nerves would surely be jangling.   But will a 4th or worse see the end of Murty?   I think not.  Simply because this board will not have anywhere near enough money to get a competent properly experienced football manager and a transfer fund for him to make a real difference next season.   The board seems to me to be stuck with Murty.........and so are we.

Popcorn putting up a good front this week that he'll feel unfairly treated if he has to come to our place once more after the split.  In actual fact he'll be rubbing his grubby little hands...

Yet with fuck all budget they are 1 point behind and have come to Ibrox twice and beaten us, something even our last preferred manager couldn't do (mcinnes).

We can all be critical of how the season has gone but you can't deny the effort and funding of Dave King and the three bears and the commitment they have made.
You put "The fans money" in bold to highlight the contribution we have made but there cannot be any doubt that the board have stepped up with their own fortunes to help the club try and progress.
We've not yet made enough progress and the next manager is the most important in the history of the club but can we just ram it with the OTT criticism of the board? Making up conspiracy theories about bringing people in to deflect blame ffs. 
We are not entitled to return to the top of Scottish football - it needs to be earned and we need to keep the heid. We'll get there, I have no doubt about it.

clearly king wanted success on the cheap - which is exactly what it was
the fans money was poorly invested as king continually tried to cut corners by appointing unknown and rookie managers time after time. many managers later, pedro was finaly given a sizable (but still less than what was required) transfer budget, because the amount of money the fans put in to the club - he had to. there is nothing more visible to the fans than investment in players, and that is why it was done.

now that murty has been given the managers job, i can quite easily see king is happy for the fans to blame everything on murty 
because he's relatively safe then, it seems like a lot of our fans are easily manipulated and this is exactly what this is.
it is the constant lowering of standards so we accept less and less back for the money we pay into the club
do you think we would have accepted murty after walter? would we fuck, we would have gone crazy as a support - to think a youth coach managing Rangers
but it's oh so very different now - we actually had fans saying this was a good decision
