  1. Aye he'll be excited at playing CL group stage football with a team who've been pumped all over Europe destroying goals against records as they go and most recently got pumped 5-1 on aggregate by his Norwegian giants in the new Intertoto cup. Meanwhile Rangers, with all our shite players, will today contest a major European semi-final and will, at worst, have two qualifiers to negotiate to hit CL groups unless we win the EL (again unlikely as we appear to be shite)
  2. Who's coming............. you seem to be in the know
  3. Kyogo made the SPFL team of the year ffs He's played 16 games including 90 minutes across 3 games since the start of December
  4. This is supposed to be across all competitions. IF (and it's a big IF because the competition is designed to avoid Scottish clubs getting this far never mind win it) but IF we win the Europa League it would, IMO, be the greatest achievement in Scottish football history - I know the tarriers will argue it's not the European Cup so there's no discussion to be had, but the difference between now and then is enormous. To have no nominations for the POY or YPOY is an embarrassment to Scottish football - a strange and bitter wee place As pointed out by others we could win an outrageous treble and, according to the SPFA, would have done so with no good players
  5. Fuck me, some of our supporters are fucking crazy
  6. 2-3? He's signed McLaughlin, Bassey, Balogun, Roofe, Hagi, Lundstram, Sakala, Wright, Zukowski - all of whom I'd keep in our squad Itten, Simpson, Bacuna are fails and Bacuna was moved on swiftly. Unfair to comment on Ofoborh as no-one's seen him Loans (Kamberi, Zungu, Diallo, Ramsey, Sands) have been poor and largely smack of last minute panics but that can be the nature of the loan market
  7. To be fair Scott Wright cost £180k and is a decent squad player when given a chance as shown on Saturday and previously
  8. Don't think Itten's in the squad
  9. Don't think he's tested positive? Sure he's not vaccinated same as Sakala
  10. Personally I think the best option would be Aribo Away from home when the ball goes up the park we need it to stick and allow others to join in. For me Aribo's the best option - big, strong, decent in the air, good touch and good at shielding, holding up and able to lay off Just my view but Sakala, Wright or Diallo are too weak to play central.
  11. So if Gio was offered 6 days to prepare for the hardest fixture and DU/RC at home in between the semis you think he'd say no thanks I'd rather have a couple of days to prepare for the piggery in between the semis - best make things as difficult as we can? No difference? Pish
  12. WTF are you gibbering about? As I understand it Leipzig had the opportunity to move that fixture and opted not to. The choice was to play 4 days after the first leg and 3 before the second or 3 days after the first leg and 4 before the second In any case, as you well know, there is no split in Germany and the fixtures (ie WHO they would play and when) would have been generated before the start of the season, not a couple of weeks before Comparing apples and pears to try to make a point is pointless
  13. 100% Play on Saturday and we have 5 days before the semi as we have now with the added bonus of having 6 days to prepare for the OF as opposed to 2 That would also have allowed our fixtures to go A H A H A and given us a home game between the 2 semis It wasn't difficult to work out how to avoid the holiday weekend decider scenario, spread the fixtures evenly H-A and give your league's first European semi-finalists in 14 years the best chance of making the final to the benefit of all - some might say it was a CINCH cinch noun 1. INFORMAL an extremely easy task.
  14. There is no randomness, true When deciding the post split fixtures it was known that we would potentially have a European semi final on 28 Apr and 5 May and known that the first leg would be away from home meaning we return through the night or on Friday essentially giving us one day to prepare for our next fixture It was known that, as ever, only 2 teams could win the league and that the police/authorities preference was to avoid the final OF being a league decider - particularly on a holiday weekend The scheduling of the final OF, our most difficult game, to sit between 2 semi final ties with minimal recovery or preparation time, was definitely not random
  15. We're not paying Ramsey £120k a week - not a chance Skov Olsen was obviously a target but chose to go to Brugge. He's the level we should be looking at but this level of player will always have options and convincing an established international to come to Scottish football is more difficult than convincing an up and coming prospect. Depending on sales we'll have a decent budget and a fair chunk of wages freed up this summer. We should be able to have a good window and still stay on track to break even
  16. He's only 24 That's some ear he's got btw
  17. Clancy and Frank Connor, they're not taking any chances here Khevin "knows what's at stake" you know Is Mulvaney injured or suspended?
  18. They're part of a well oiled and orchestrated propaganda machine and along with others (Michael Stewart, Kris Commons, Charlie Nicholas, Alan Brazil, Mark Wilson etc) set the narrative on behalf of the club and never stop. Sutton's co-commentary on Sunday was embarrassing, as is most of his punditry and social media, but he's prepared to go to any length to push the agenda and put pressure on officials. The refs are all Rangers fans (now changing to the VAR officials are all Rangers fans so we better bus people up from England) The refs are all masons and anti- celtic, catholic, Irish Rangers get penalties every week (we're on the same 7 penalties as them) celtic get beaten? The refs cheated Big game coming up? Lets get the focus on the refs They are light years ahead of us at media manipulation - aided and abetted by compliant mhedia editors who give them numerous platforms to set and sustain their agenda - trust me the ref stuff will reach fever pitch in the next 10 days, as Mr Clancy pointed out "they know what's at stake" From Sunday we had McGregor wiping out Kent in the box - no penalty, no card McGregor studs on Aribo's ankle - no card Carter Vickers wiping out Aribo with an elbow as he heads the ball in the box - no penalty no card Carter Vickers wrestling Sakala to the deck off the ball in the box - no penalty no card A goal scored from a free kick that never was Possibly the most blatant cheating by a linesman (with form) ignoring a player 4 yards offside Kent wrongly ruled offside when Jota sliced the ball up in the air and Arfield's second goal being chopped off If they had all of this ammunition the game would already have a name like "Madhun's Hunden Shame Game" and be part of folklore - instead the story is celtic were cheated Well oiled, orchestrated propaganda machine
  19. Dude, you'll notice that the co-efficient payments are in this and not in your previous chart form 17/18 Note that the 4 English teams shared 68.7m market pool (Scotland gets 10% of this if we have a qualifier) Look at AEK who were bottom ranked on the coefficients - Participation 14.5m (now 15.25) Coefficient 1 x 1.08m (now 1.137m) TV market pool 2.6m - no points in group - Total 18.2m euros (£15.3m)
  20. Distribution method has changed since then There's now a huge pot for 10 year coefficient rankings and the TV market pool is much reduced (300.3 euros in total) English teams take the largest share (about 23%) If a Scottish team qualifies they get 10% of the English pool (if both get to groups this is split 55% to champions and 45% to runners up) Based on this season the tarriers would have been 8th lowest and us 3rd lowest on the coefficient rankings. You get 1.137m x 8 for them (9.096m) or x 3 for us (3.411) They would have got 5.6m euro (£4.7m) more than us based on coefficient payments and that would be similar if both qualify next season If they qualify alone next year they'd get 15.25 participation + 9.096 coefficient (this could move up or down by a couple of places depending on who else qualifies) + 6.8 tv = 31m euros (£26m) - only winning enough points to qualify from the group would reach the figures your suggesting If we both qualify and then won no games (a possibility) they'd get 3.1m less due to splitting tv and we'd get 3.7m less (this assumes they win the league and we qualify via qualifiers and they get 55% to our 45%) Their 31m euros would be about 28.3m (£23.8m) and our 25.5m would be 22.4m euros (£18.8m) - just under £43m between us plus any game cash we can win No Scottish club will be anywhere near the mythical £40m unless they get out of the CL group top 2 or finish 3rd and drop to the EL and go on a good run o at least the QF From UEFA website...... Share for 32 clubs participating in the UEFA Champions League forecast amounts (The net revenue will be divided into four different pillars)100%€2002m 1 starting fees 25% €500.5m 2 performance-related fixed amounts 30% €600.6m 3 ten-year performance-based coefficient rankings 30% €600.6m 4 variable amounts (market pool) 15% €300.3m
