  1. They lost 2-0 at St Mirren and got a highly fortunate 95th minute winner at St Johnstone
  2. Morelos has played 7 and a half hours of football since the end of March. He needs a run of games but given Colak's form and Gio's refusal to play both, this is unlikely to happen He won't find form or sharpness sitting on the bench
  3. The only place that term was used was by rhabid tarriers, certainly not any Rangers fan Are you seriously trying to draw any kind of comparison between Rangers/tarriers and Barcelona/Espanyol? Espanyol have won 4 Copa del Reys in their history ffs You think our owners have poured in £40/50m of their own money to tread water behind the scum? Our owners/investors have been outstanding and without them god knows where we'd be - we'd certainly not be moaning about a terrible CL campaign that's for sure We've been pish this season and I'd say we need a change of manager and a few key senior positions (DofF, MD for starters) Ideally we should move quickly to prevent reaching a point of no return as far as this season is concerned but I fear we will take the "only 4 behind and been missing key players" route, when the real difference between us and them is the approach of the managers in terms of playing style and tempo. More importantly it looks pretty certain that the players either don't like playing for Gio or don't understand what he's trying to achieve tactically (does anybody?) Things can and could change very quickly but, for me, sticking with the slow, low energy, side to side football with suspect fitness levels will end in tears and I don't believe Gio and his team are willing (or able) to change and therefor they need changed. As for the Espanyol pish, leave that to the tarriers
  4. Who said Neilson was on the short list last year? I've never heard that before
  5. These type of players are usually good to have about your squad, but not at the reported £4m we'd need to pay for him (although that could be a lot of shite) Tillman at £6m (again could be made up pish) wouldn't be good value either. Given our financial position we should be using £10m far wiser than these two. Neither have shown anything to suggest they would be first choices in a new midfield and that's what £10m needs to secure imo
  6. I acknowledged his injuries, doesn't justify calling him a prick and a wanker for buying a pair of trousers ffs
  7. He's smiling not laughing. Ryan Jack has given 100% for us for 5 years We are a better team when he is fit and playing but sadly injuries look set to see him leave at the end of the season and he will be both gutted and frustrated that he can't beat the injuries Looks to me like a photo placed on social media by Forbes rather than RJ Seeing him called a prick and a wanker is embarrassing We had a horrendous result on the back of a horrendous last half hour and we're all hurting but some of the shite spouted by some on here is fucking ridiculous
  8. They won 0-3 according to the Scottish press?
  9. Electricity wasn't invented when they last won at home in the CL
  10. They're facing unique challenges far greater than anyone else the poor souls - 4 midweek games already you know. It's no fair so it's no........... "Celts have played 13 games in all competitions so far this season, including three already this month. we're on 17 including 4 high pressure, high stakes CL qualifiers Postecoglou reckons the heavy schedule has been a factor in Jota’s ‘muscular’ issue and ‘fatigue’ and added: “I think we are going to have a few of these issues going forward, and we are going to have to juggle the squad.” Jota's played 939 minutes (15h 39m) of game time in 10 weeks with a weekend off when the Queen passed and an international break and he's fatigued??? Whatever happened to "we don't stop" The Hoops have a further TEN games to play before November 12, when the season breaks for the World Cup finals. Yep so do we celtic’s recent displays have been patchy and Postecoglou added: “We have 13 games, and then you look at the level of games that you have got to play. “We played Wednesday night in Leipzig and got home on Thursday at 3am, then we played again at lunchtime on Saturday. “I think it is too much of a burden.” Asked about training- ground time following the Leipzig tie in Germany, the Celts boss said: “Zero.” “If you want top-level performances, you need, as in any other profession, the people who are the most important, the players, to be able to recover if you want to maintain performances. I think we have 13 games in 44 days. “It’s impossible for us, or for any other club for that matter, to maintain a level of performance with that workload. You should try getting to the end of the season, not the start, and playing 14 games in 49 days (5 of which went to extra time adding 2.5 hours of game time with tired legs) and included 2 old firms, EL QFx2, SFx2 and Final and SC SF and Final It's been mentioned before that this smarmy cunt doesn't like pressure, it's up to us to apply some and keep applying it. I could be proven wrong but I think they could implode
  11. They were blowing out their arses in the last 20 minutes and had on attack after St J equalised. 5 subs weren't introduced mid season by accident and continued this season
  12. Not according to a few surrender monkeys on here. They seem to think the tarriers are miles ahead of us. Sensible observers can see they're an average side who ride their luck
  13. Rangers point is that the deal hasn't been market tested or competitive in order to confirm that they can't do better. Any competent business would look to create competition. The SPFL are far from competent
  14. How would you have made them sign an extension? if they won’t, how would you make them leave a) in the absence of offers b) if they didn’t fancy signing for the clubs making offers?? the power rests with players nowadays and has done for a while We’ve picked up mcgregor, McLaughlin, balogun, Lundstram, Jack, Davis, arfield, sakala, Defoe, Lawrence and Souttar on frees and Aribo, Bassey and Kamara for under £600k kamara and goldson both entered the final year of their contract and then subsequently signed and I believe one or both of Kent and Alfredo will to but even if they don’t I genuinely can’t recall anyone of decent value who’s left for free when we wanted to keep them? we’ve won way more than we’ve lost in the out of contract market
  15. You can add Goldson and Helander to that list Goldson, Matondo, Helander, Roofe, Hagi, Yilmaz, Davies, Colak, Itten, Borna, Katic and Kent cost a combined £40m or so - an average of just short of £3.5m per player Tav, Aribo, Bassey, Jack, Arfield, Lundstram, Davis, Kamara, Alfredo, Lawrence, McGregor, Souttar, Wright, McLaughlin, Sakala, Balogun cost a combined £2 -£2.5m an average of under £150k per player Fees guarantee nothing especially in our area of the market where we can take a gamble on good players like Roofe, Goldson and Helander all of whom would be going for way more than the fees we paid had they not had injury problems. Goldson paid off, Roofe to an extent and Helander has been an expensive failure. All 3 will be at or near the top end of our wage bill. The idea that we have earmarked a suggested £10m for Sands and Tillman looked genius 4 weeks ago and looks mental today - that's the reality of the market we operate in. Personally I'd be disappointed if Sands and Tillman blocked the development of King and Lowry as, for me, the latter pair have greater potential both as players and in profit
  16. They'll just get the league stopped for a bit until they're fit
  17. Not far off how I see things tbh No new signing on Thursday would have been thrown in on Saturday so that dimension is irrelevant. Lawrence was a huge miss and moving our only fit no.10 out to the wing when we had 3 fit wingers (Wright, Sakala and Matondo) was baffling. Asking Kamara to be a 10 equally so. We have a good enough squad to recover but the glaring thing for me is our lack of intensity and intent against the limited opposition we face week in week out... that's 100% on the manager(s) as the same players played a high press, high intensity game to cruise to 55 but for some reason we now treat Dundee away as if we're off to the San Siro. Tarriers show them all no respect and swarm all over them for 90- minutes. We can and should do the same. Gio is overthinking and over complicating Scottish football is my simplification of things As for writing this season off? Fuck me. We've been 5 behind with 3 to play and won the league ffs But for some dubious refereeing at Easter Rd we'd be 3 behind with 32 to play There's a long, long way to go
  18. All the fans decrying the board and squealing "sack them" should take a long hard look at those figures They've converted 10s of millions of their own money to shares and without them both us and Scottish football would be nowhere near where we are today They have been outstanding, as have the fans, SG and Gio and the players who have given us all memories many of us thought we would never see again They make mistakes (most people do) but they absolutely have our club's best interests at heart
  19. Wilson should have put a clause in his contract banning him from hyper extending his knee obviously, you'd think he'd insist on that given recent experience with Hellander Also he should put in T&Cs that no more than one player in any position can be injured at any given time..... problem solved, simples Wilson sleeping at the wheel as usual. If the board gave a fuck they could sign 5 players for every position to avoid this too. Sack the board, Wilson out RM logic
  20. They will if they need a striker and rate him highly enough
  21. Break would be much better than ligaments or tendon from personal experience Cunt should be battered for that
  22. Unless he went on the piss Saturday and Sunday and turned up on Monday like a burst ball (or maybe didn't turn up at all?) I don't know what's happened but, for me, it's happened or spiralled since Saturday.
  23. Whatever's brought Gio and his team (backed by the senior pros) to the point where they'd rather face a game of this significance without Alfredo anywhere near them is obviously something significant. Turned up worse for wear? Dressing room bust up? Who knows The truth will out in the days ahead but I'd be stunned if he ever pulled the famous shirt on again. His loss, move him on and get him replaced
