  1. As it stands Simpson, Zukowski (on the basis that Divine can back up Tav), Katic, Sands and Hagi (injury) If we could extend Kent, Morelos and Bassey and get the other two in then I'd be delighted but I expect to lose at least one of the three, in which case there's still work to be done on direct replacements
  2. Tons of ability and a great attitude. World at his feet and would be fantastic if he breaks through
  3. I’d agree to an extent although it is different with keepers as they only have on spot available the parallels with McGregor are uncanny, he was 24, had a couple of decent loan spells and was back as number 2 and only got his chance because Letizi got injured- the rest is history but like McRorie now he wasn’t considered ready to be no1 at 24 If Letizi hadn’t got injured, mcgregor would probably have moved on at the end of that season
  4. The decision has nothing to do with the board, it will be Gio's call If Gio decides that having Greegs (I'd be certain on reduced wages) as his back up keeper is his best choice given his ability and what he brings to the club then fine McCrorie is an interesting one for me. Logic would dictate that he should be given the gloves from the start of the season (like Greegs was at his age) based on the fact that he is the only one with future value. Clearly though the coaches who work with him daily don't see him as the best of the three, possibly not even the second best. If he was rated at the same/similar level to McLaughlin and McGregor he would be in imo. If we go into next season with McLaughlin, McGregor and McCrorie as our keepers I'm comfortable with that although less so if McGregor is first choice
  5. To understand how inept and dishonest Doncaster and MacLennan are They trumpeted this deal as the biggest ever in SPFL history - that was a misleading lie. Ladbrokes paid £6m for 3 seasons in the previous deal = £2m per season (actually £10m over 5 years as the £6m was a 3 year extension to their initial 2 year deal). The Cinch was £8m over 5 seasons = £1.6m per season less £500k third party commissions = £1.5m per season which is now apparently further reduced to £1.4m for the next 4 seasons - 30% less than they were getting from Ladbrokes 5 years ago. Add in the fact that that in the last 9 seasons the SPFL has been without a main sponsor in 3 of those seasons, then quite how Doncaster survived when his main priority is securing deals for the member clubs must make you think that someone is protecting him for reasons other than him competently being able to do his job - almost as if he's a useful puppet if you like From this season's £1.4 or £1.5m you can rest assured that a significant proportion (15-20%) has been wasted on legal fees for a situation that was brought about by the CEO and Chairman ignoring their own rules and trying to bully a member club (a common theme for this pair) with absolutely no chance of winning their case How they are still in their posts should concern every Rangers fan and indeed every football fan
  6. I think that's what you call a verbal boot in the baws
  7. So the Specky Liar is alive and well? Cue some weasel words and lies - of this you can be certain Here's the crux of the matter, due to the incompetence and arrogance of this clown and his weasel chairman, whatever has been agreed will 100% be an even worse deal than the horrendous deal he ploughed on with last year. By signing a contract with Cinch knowing that Rangers had informed him of their inability to participate he left Scottish football exposed to being screwed for whatever Cinch pretty much wanted. He should be sacked and so should the Chairman - they won't because they dance (willingly) to the tune of one club in particular. It's interesting to look at his weasel words... “Under the terms of the revised cinch contract, Rangers are no longer required to participate by providing the sponsorship inventory that they have so far not provided, whilst, crucially, the overall income to Scottish football is expected to remain materially unchanged over the original five-year term of the sponsorship. “This revised package has now been approved by cinch Premiership Clubs. “It’s extremely good news that we have been able to work with our partners at cinch to develop an updated sponsorship package which delivers the same level of financial support to Scottish football, whilst providing additional SPFL media assets to cinch to compensate for loss of Rangers related rights. It is testament to the strength of our relationship with cinch, and the high value they place on it, that they have agreed to move forward with us on this basis. “This deal gives us further confidence that we will exceed our budget and deliver fees to Clubs of more than £27.5 million for Season 2021/22.” A revised deal that's expected???? to deliver the same overall revenue over the original five-year term??? Has the deal been extended and if so for how long and for how much?? whilst providing additional SPFL media assets to cinch to compensate for loss of Rangers related rights??? what are they getting and for how long?? It's all smoke and mirrors I'd have loved to have been the Cinch Commercial guy... "Right you ya specks dick, have I got this right - Rangers aren't carrying any of our branding and you knew this before you signed our deal? Seriously?? You know that Rangers and celtic were the only reason we done this deal ya tube. So really you knowingly took our money under false pretences? That's fraud, specky. So here's the new deal GI Joe, when I say dance you put on you Cinch tutu and start dancing until I say stop. And we'll be taking every square inch of space in every ground (except Ibrox ya weasel), every week for the next 50 years and we'll pay you £10 a year after the first 5 years" Specky "Sounds great, where do I sign - can we keep the details quiet for now though please" DISCLAIMER - Some of the detail here may be slightly wrong - but not by much
  8. Bassey and Helander are the only two naturally left sided options. For me Helander should be moved on if possible as he's into his final year and there's no way we could contemplate extending due to his injury record Goldson has nailed the right hand spot and Balogun, Katic and King have played left as a result. I expect the same to be the case with Souttar
  9. Katic and Souttar are both right footed
  10. Dani Alves (39) Barcelona Luka Modric (36) Real Madrid Ibrahimovic (40) AC Milan Tiago Silva (38) Chelsea Ronaldo (37) Man U Milner (36) Liverpool Davis has been a model pro throughout his career and has never let down any manager, any club or his country He had a massive influence on the cup semi v the scum, never put a foot wrong in the cup final and made a difference in Seville I'll trust Gio on this one and believe SD has an important role to play next year
  11. Annoyingly though, from a money perspective their 10 year coefficient is likely to be about 7th lowest netting them 7x 1,15m euros - about £7m. If we qualify we're likely to be bottom or 2nd bottom netting £1m or £2m. They also wouldn't have been seeded in the qualifiers and, given their European form, would have been highly unlikely to qualify Fucking infuriating
  12. Two more nights wriggling about the bed for me - what's sleep??
  13. We've got 1 seat in taxi available 6am Thursday Saville to Faro airport (£80) 2 seats in taxi available 12 noon Saville to Faro airport (£45 each) Also our Airbnb host has had a late cancellation and has a Duplex Penthouse with balcony in central Seville on 17/18 sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms and has 2 bathrooms - says £2k but I reckon you could get it for 2k euros Anybody interested in these PM me
  14. I'm an optimist. I reckon he was away for a good session in the oxygen tank
  15. I've got 2 spare seats from Seville to Faro airport on Thursday leaving around 12 (Spain) 11 Portugal PM if interested
  16. Won't happen and nor should it. I know a few who go to all the Euro trips, with or without tickets but would struggle to find Ibrox without a map. They enjoy the trips and big games and that's great and they're cracking guys. One has great contacts so they usually bag tickets but they shouldn't be prioritised for the final
  17. You could fly into Portugal on an official lateral flow (£23) and 24 hrs before travelling Faro is 2-3 hrs from Seville, no border checks
  18. Surely we lose the CL 3rd qualifying round we drop to the EL play off not the EL groups ? If we lose the CL play off we drop to EL group (with a 5m euro payment to boot) CL qual rnd 3.......... win = CL play off............... lose = EL play off
  19. They got 4 minutes from 15 minute 2nd half of extra time two weeks ago
  20. Aye, they'd be standing behind a barrier 20m away and would have been at the barras before Scouse John got to the barrier if he'd offered him a square go
  21. Coming from Norwegian football he wouldn't be joining either of us anywhere near the top earners so it would be down to what he was after - joining a progressive European club within touching distance of a major final or a club setting European records for goals conceded and getting knocked out of multiple competitions If he chooses the latter, he's not what we need
  22. Aye he'll be excited at playing CL group stage football with a team who've been pumped all over Europe destroying goals against records as they go and most recently got pumped 5-1 on aggregate by his Norwegian giants in the new Intertoto cup. Meanwhile Rangers, with all our shite players, will today contest a major European semi-final and will, at worst, have two qualifiers to negotiate to hit CL groups unless we win the EL (again unlikely as we appear to be shite)
