Given up on Roofe. He'll be back for 3 games at most and no doubt pick up another knock. -
All of which must have been a great surprise to us after scouting him and then deciding to spend almost 5million on him.

Would jump at chance to try get Kjetil Knutsen before an EPL team takes him. Has a modern style of play and would bring some of the Bodo players with him. Honestly think we'd be mad not to be looking into this. And get Wilson out and get a proper football man as DoF/technical director, with a European network, not an MBA charlatan with a few contacts down south. -
Barisic defends like someones coming at him with a knife. We need to let Yilmaz develop for the money we paid
-
Seems to let his head go down if hes not getting much attacking joy. He should have just concentrated on being a solid defender over these games. Have a lot of time for him, but he's been very poor.
-
Wouldnt be against this either. Disgrace how much he has made a waste of his opportunity here
-
His lack of bravery for a guy that clearly has some talent is unforgivable tbh. He will regret it, as we gave him a platform he wont get again. Hasn't realised his potential, and we need to move on from him now. Get what we can out him for league points while he's here and invest in better. He had all the opportunity here, and didnt take it.

Capitulation unacceptable. Lack of signings in 11 unacceptable. But I will say Firmino was some player. His movement and intelligence is as good as I've seen in a long time. But we looked miles off it and shat it at 2-1 nevermind 3-1 -

Might just be me but not convinced Gio confirmed he will start, just that he will be in the squad "you will see him tomorrow" as opposed to "he will start tomorrow". Seems unusual of Gio to give away team info before the match like this -
Their manager has been giving victory parade interviews for months now. You would think he was due to retire with years of titles and European success behind him. The knives will be out for him soon if he continues to fail in Europe, given their inflated sense of European standing. He'll soon see the true side of the support.

Will say it again: keep him away from Sergio Porrinis wife.
-
His calmness and composure when finishing is a breath of fresh air. Have been watching us snatch at chances for years now, big man has been superb.
-
Much maligned yet is consistently more productive than others in that position. We all know hes not the most refined player but he's direct, unpredictable and has a goal threat. has a great attitude, never hides, works hard for the jersey. Until we actually sign someone who is the finished article in this position (like we shld have done for about 4/5 years) we shld get behind him and give him more chances.

I said in the prematch thread I thought this was set up for Sakala to get in behind, despite him being far from perfect. I didnt think this would make it easy, but would have given us a better weapon in counter attack. Liverpool have given up a chance in behind in almost every game they have played this season, we had no-one really set up to exploit that until Sakala and Matondo came on. I also would have played Jack for more stability in midfield. I'm not saying the above would have made us win the game, it just baffles me that we didnt set up to at least try and exploit Liverpoools obvious weakness, like so many others have this season. We asked no questions of their fullbacks.
-
Seriously question his decision making to not play a pacey forward to get in behind Liverpools high line last night. Last night was probably the only time no-one has got in behind Liverpool when playing them this season. Just like the games at parkhead, his negative tactics play into opponents hands. Used to love watching us play big games in Europe, now I think we go in without belief. Didnt expect a win at Liverpool, but it was a training game for them from pretty much the first minute.

And this condescending attitude towards Sakala needs to stop. Not saying he doesnt have faults, but we're hardly fucking blessed in that position and he's probably as good an option as we have, and gives goals and drive. Everyone seems to have decided he's shite, meanwhile we are throwing people wide right that cant even play there. When Sakala has turned up in Old Firms and has a decent goal return. -

I know mate. I was screaming at the TV all night. Tillman is lost in that position and we enabled TAA. It was bonkers. Losing confidence in Gio because of it. -

Not playing fast players to try get in behind their fullbacks and high line was stupid. Gio got it wrong. -

Two minds about Tilman. Worry game could pass him by, young player and a big stage. On flip side his physicality and energy cld work if he's on it. Its a tough one. Thiago is a worry, he is different class.
