And the "just focus on the next game/one game at a time" ones. As if a few fans on a forum thinking of the upcoming fixtures will lead to the first team becoming complacent.

Eternal optimist seeing any good in that scenario. Wee bit like saying, "it's shite being invaded by Russia, but positive is I think we win the Eurovision song contest".

Loved that "the money is getting made on the wrong side of the table" story. Second time watching and its excellent. -
If we dont trust McCrorie to be at least number 2 by now you have to question why he is still here
-
Love him but crazy to extend a year given his inability to be mobile and clearly no strategy on this end of last season, hence the now farcical 1 minute appearance during final. Even if he is a number 2, would question the merit of having one of the clubs greatest goalkeepers looming over the new one in the dressing room etc. Starting to worry we have no proper plan to evolve this team, which is ludicrous.

Connor Goldson Signs New 4 Year Contract

Great news - massive boost for our chances qualifying for CL. Fuck having to bed in a new spine around the time of qualifiers. -
Really like and respect the guy, what he has done and how he carries himself. A true Ranger for me. He has all the capabilities to be successful, but will live and die by success of his signings. This needs to be Gio's signings, not Ross Wilsons. And for Gios systems to work, we need FIT players and established pros. I'd also like to see us get a bit of extra bite and some more goalscorers. We dont score enough, and thats what you need going through those blips, someone to dig you out of the inevitable dodgy winter/midweek/post Euro performance. And maybe a potential Billy Gilmour loan aside, any untested young players shld only come through our own ranks, and we shld be signing players that will jump straight into the first team and are making the next step or looking at us as stepping stone for EPL etc. No issue with that if they deliver and make us money.

Haven't spoken much about it since I've been back, cup final was class and helped. Anyway, bumping the guitar off some local and getting the streets into a chorus of a few select cultured songs on the day was some laugh, and will never forget the train from Madrid down. Noise was incredible, Frankfurt fans gobsmacked, shout out to the Qatar Loyal boys who were some laugh, drinking from early and then keeping the bar going. Choruses of "we're aff the train, we're aff the train" to We're On Our Way made me laugh a lot more than it probably shld have at the time Special shout out to older bears that travelled and shared some gold dust stories. Some of the stories I got told at London, Madrid airports were incredible about seeing Baxter, Jardine and much more. Was a privilege to talk about some of those moments with people who were there at the time, and ask about modern v old players, who's better etc over a few beers. Funnily enough a good few of them said Laudrup was best only because he married the old technique of Baxter etc with modern athlete. But I'm sure many will have different ideas but class to talk Rangers for hours to folk you've just met. These phrases can be cliche but was genuinely like a massive family, never been prouder to be a Rangers fan. Also great to get support and respect from fans in England/Spain/Germany - we have a great profile in Europe, the small minded resentment and lust for us to be 'the bad guys' in this country is nauseating, but unsurprising.

Next time this board inevitably make a complete cunt of something they really are opening themselves up to a "remember who you represent" banner from the Union Bears. -

Gio seems to trust him as part of the system atm, I think its because of the movement and positions he takes up which frees up space for Tav and others. He has a decent turn on him as well. Completely agree this is above his level though, but lets hope he has the game of his life if he starts! But Gio has been great at getting the sum of the parts working, and not just picking the most talented individuals so confident he'll make the right call on Wed. -
