Grezda for me has looked 'slightly less shite' on the right when I've seen him. Whether thats encouraging or not, who knows? But you're right, a preseason might change him, fuck knows. I do worry he'll be sent back to Croatia on loan tho, and then disappear into obscurity.

shld target 3 top players for me if Morelos goes in summer (would expect 15M min): one striker capable of holding ball up and playing on his own, an attacking creative number 10 and a top drawer centre half. We have Murphy and Jones coming in on wings and I'd be trying to get Kent for another yr on loan or buy him depending on fee. Hopefully leveraging Gerrards relationship with Liverpool and fact the boy loves it here.

Two games in a row I've seen him at Ibrox and loved the dynamic he brings to our midfield. He gets about, impacts the game, and is useful and composed on the ball. Jack, Kamara and Arfield complement each other better than any combination we have, we struggle when we have too many like for like midfielders and have done all season. A steal for the money. Well done whoever made the call to bring him in

The young boy is versatile and has huge potential. I think he's perfect for games when we need some extra steel in midfield and reckon alongside Goldson he can develop as a CB as well but will have mistakes in him so shouldnt be risked in that position against the better sides yet. I'd like him in there against the scum and the sheep where we want to win the fight, but Kamaras form atm makes him impossible to leave out. He'll have his say when other players form dips. Quality option and still young.

Most annoying thing for me about Gerrard is for a guy who is one of the greatest midfielders of his or any generation, we've had a sub-standard midfield in almost every game of the season. In fact the only games where we've look good are games like scum at home, and 2nd half Rapid, where our midfield actually turned up, got on the front foot and impacted the game. He's had all season to work with the players and Jan opportunity to find better ones and we're still seeing the same thing game after game. Too many players who pass side to side. No-one playing with their head up. No-one capable of finding a pass, beating a man, running beyond a striker, or having a shot from outside the box. Tav, Candeias and Barasic delivery is frustrating but that's made worse by the fact that if they don't create, or Kent or Morelos don't on their own, we don't do anything. Because we get fuck all going forward from midfield in almost every game, with exception of Arfield on a good day.

Think Jack and Shinnie are different types to be fair. Jack has more class and more tidy on the ball. More like a European style defensive mid. Shinnie is a wee aggressive bastard thats always effective in Scottish football and gets about the pitch. I think there'd be a use for him in the squad. That said: I'm not gonnae greet if he goes elsewhere, but think its a good free.

Makes a nuisance of himself and impacts games, and is a goal threat. No really like his auld man or uncle, not really that cultured but has some technical ability when it comes to striking a ball. Maybe he's ultimately just a Doherty with more games and we have a similar/better player on our books. Would watch him closely next season tho, def potential. I'd take Shinnie in a heartbeat if its for free. He's not a world beater but he's versatile, has fight in him, takes initiative in games and would be an excellent squad option.

For all the bravado thats been spouted over the years he was the weakest link today and even the taigs from my work on social media were cryin for him to be subbed/swapped for McGregor at half time. Won't go down in history anything other than a workmanlike wee aggressive player at who got lucky cos we were pish, we fucked him today. And that was only us approaching proper Rangers standard. Additions of McGregor, Goldson, Barasic has undoubtedly improved our back line from the shambles of previous seasons. Goldson has suffered IMO from not having a regular partner. Katic showed potential but now jurys out. Worrall nowhere near consistent or good enough yet for us and I'd send back but I think we improved generally defensively. Our biggest problem is we seem to have lost the ability to create chances and score goals from middle of the park. Windass was frustrating as fuck but scored a fair few last year. Our squad is now overloaded with midfielders who are better without the ball than with it. Need a playmaker and an attacking midfielder and then decide which of our defensive midfielders we want to keep, and cut our losses with the others.

I think Barasic will be a great signing, his delivery is outstanding, and if we had more players who gambled and made forward runs we would start to benefit from him. Grezda worries me a bit, but early days. I don't like the fact he checks in all the time when he plays on the left. It just gives the opposition more time to get behind the ball. He had a great chance yesterday to really go for it and get through on the goalkeeper and he checked inside once again and the moment was lost. I don't whether he is playing it safe until he finds his feet but he needs to show more confidence and take folk on and get behind people. I also think he looks more comfortable on the right which is frustrating as I'd hoped he could have set up a partnership with Barasic. Early days with him but looking for a lot more, can understand why Gerrard has went with Middleton in recent games.

He looked quality to me and will only get better. Streets ahead of SPL standard one he properly settles.

I took Gerrard's "I know the players I can trust, they had their chance" at the wknd as a bit of a dig at Grezda but don't think he has any other options now but to play them both. Hopefully playing on the break will suit Middleton and Grezda a bit better than teams sitting in.

Joking aside, I've wondered whether something has been said or gone on behind the scenes that Gerrard didn't like. Just shite daft speculation but its hard to understand why he's not got a look in for so long. Hopefully the big man can get his confidence sorted if he gets a chance again. Prefer him to Worrall who seems to think he's a superstar and puts in a shift in the glamour Europa ties but can't turn up against 10 men away at Dundee.
