This is a catch 22 question IMO - Naisy has been showing promise and flashes of why he was brought to Ibrox.

On the other hand Rothen is a talented dead ball specialist with pace and flair and is a Fench Internationalist, we have been crying out for a natural winger for the left and now we have one - so I say give him a chance.....I don't see Naisy as a winger anyway.

I also feel that Aaron should be getting more of a look in as well as I have watched the kid play in Spain and he is very quick and prefers to play on the right and cut back and swing crosses in with the left - he is a great prospect as are many young wans at Ibrox as you all know just now, but at least we havemany choices of different quality in the middle and wide now, it is great when your manager is spoilt for choice - as I feel he is just now !

BTW I would consider selling Beasley in January - OK he has shone for the USA and has 90 caps but he has done fek all since coming to the blue seas - OK he has been unlucky with injuries but lets face it he hasn't done anything on the pitch.

:gerbad: PS - I am new to the forum - so any replies welcome - cheers - WATP

Cracking post, I agree with it, Naismith, despite being capable of playing on the wing, should play up front, and im really surprised he never started today given how well he played midweek

Aaron is gone now though

Aaron is not at Rangers anymore.

I think the poll question is unfair & thats why i haven't answered it ... Naismith isn't a winger & we haven't seen enough of Rothen to judge him fairly yet.

Id have them on either flank, Davis and Mendes through the middle

I'd be happy with that. Davis has served us will CM when he has been asked to do so and can be our box to box player, you'd be doing well if you can find a fitter guy at the club.

Cheers bro ! But Aaron did get called back from Valencia, then Rangers managed to get him back on loan about a month back - that is why I thought he was still at Ibrox I forgot that he is loaned to Celta by Valencia now - big mistake Rangers not playing or even trying to sign the kid.....anyway great the mhanks slip up when we do - Gers for the treble ! :praise:

Didn't Aaron leave because he signed for Celta Vigo? So I don't think we've got him anymore.

I'd have Naismith all day long, our team has been severely lacking in pace for years and Naismith looks like he could be the answer to this. Rothen kind of reminded me of Thomas Buffell on Saturday, technically a very skilled player, but just isn't suited to the SPL. I really hope I'm wrong but he didn't look at all interested in tracking their right back. His delivery into the box did look good on a few occasions so hopefully it's just a case of him getting up to speed.

Rothen all day for me , naismith is in great form but he isnt a left winger and i would rather have an out and out winger than a striker on the left.

for me i would rather go with rothen on the left and naismith/novo and lafferty/boyd upfront , with rothen on the left and either lafferty or boyd upfront that could become a very deadly partnership

Yeah, because a player can be judge on a 60 minute debut doh

He did more than Davis, Mendes, McCulloch, Miller and Boyd!

He's clearly not match fit, and, needs games and time to settle.

rothen will do the business......give him time

How do you know this?

From what I saw against Motherwell, hes utter bollocks, not even a hint of anything more to come from him.

and yet he would still be better than any midfielder they have at the tattiedome
