ForeverBlue_Since91 2,895
Never will they do this, and I wouldn't expect them to, I wouldn't want to applaud them on the park if they won the leagueHibs did it for them a few years back. I can't see why they won't do it for us this year.because they hate us with a passion , it would never happen. plus, do you really think the hibs fans are classy enough to sit their and applaud us ?this only really happens in rugby. I can't see Hughes not making his team do this. I couldn't care less if they do it or not though. As long as we win the game.

cooper1989 0
Yogi is a class guy. Honest guy. Remember, he defended KT when Kevin said we'd be 20 points clear of the 3rd place team. Hughes said he (KT) was just being confident and wanted to win and all that. So, I would not be surprised if he at least offers some type of gesture if we are champs going in to the match. JordanRangers 4
well i know this aint Scotland but Man Utd applauded Chelsea and do you think Ferguson would have enjoyed his team applauding and bowing down to the special one's champions i think not and i think John Hughes even though he played for them will be respectful enough to acknowledge our achievementDon't you mean Chelsea applauded Man Utd ? Brubear 2,953
If we are crowned champs on the sunday, its the following saturday ( tannadice ) we get applauded, well thats what i heard off the guy that runs my bus. He wants us to win it against Dundee Utd so we get applauded at porkheid It isn't mandatory, but optional and any team you play, especially away from home, after you are crowned champions can choose to do it. Best would be for Dundee Utd to take points off them on Sunday and then both Hibs and DU to applaud us onto the pitch are our next 2 games. This would put so much pressure on Secptic to do the same the following Wednesday, which they probably wouldn't, thus showing them up for the lack of class we all know the have. Thermopylae 15,287
reminds me of school rugby ... like in the big game it's customary for both sides to applaud the other off the park after the game but Victoria Drive obviously didn't quite get the spirit of the thing because they started kicking out at us as we walked past ... although to be fair they did keep clapping
theweebluenose 4,335
No chance of that remember it's the edinburgh selik we're playing.Remember Hibs were the first "oirish" team in Scotland, Celtic like they do with many ideas stole their format to raise money for all the poor wee Catholics through Football and keep them from mixing with bad Proddys! So Celtic are technically the Glasgow Hibs
Thermopylae 15,287
more like the glasgow brewery XI ... although this has been largely airbrushed out of their history of course
