Almost everyone in the area knew someone who suffered or died. On the 25th anniverary of this tragedy, please find the time in your busy lives to remember them. I KNOW I WILL.Bradford will come to a standstill tomorrow at 11am, I am going down to an open air service they have in the memorial garden in the town hall square. Such an horrific tragedy on a day that should of been a celebration of the promotionRIP TO ALLACKROYD, John Douglas 32 BaildonANDERTON, Edmund 68 BingleyBAINES, Alexander Shaw 70 BradfordBAMFORD, Herbert 72 BradfordBULMER, Christopher James 11 Burley-in-WharfedaleCOXON, Jack Leo 76 BradfordCOXON, Leo Anthony 44 HalifaxCRABTREE, David James 30 BradfordCRABTREE, Harry 76 BradfordDEMPSEY, Derek 46 MorleyFIRTH, Muriel 56 BaildonFIRTH, Samuel 86 BradfordFLETCHER, Andrew 11 East Bridgford, NottinghamshireFLETCHER, Edmond 63 PudseyFLETCHER, John 34 East Bridgford, NottinghamFLETCHER, Peter 32 GildersomeFORSTER, Nellie 64 BradfordGREENWOOD, Felix Winspear 13 DenholmeGREENWOOD, Peter 46 DenholmeGREENWOOD, Rupert Benedict 11 DenholmeHALL, Norman 71 BradfordHALLIDAY, Peter Anthony 34 BradfordHARTLEY, Arthur 79 BradfordHINDLE, Edith 79 BradfordHINDLE, Frederick 76 BradfordHODGSON, Moira Helen 15 OakenshawHUDSON, Eric 72 BingleyHUGHES, John 64 BradfordHUTTON, John 74 BradfordKERR, Walter 76 BradfordLOVELL, Peter Charles 43 BradfordLUDLAM, Jack 55 BradfordMcPHERSON, Gordon Stuart 39 BradfordMcPHERSON, Irene 28 BradfordMASON, Roy 74 SilsdenMIDDLETON, Frederick Norman 84 BradfordMITCHELL, Harold 79 BradfordMUHL, Elizabeth 21 LeedsNORMINGTON, Ernest 74 ShipleyORMONDROYD, Gerald Priestley 40 BingleyORMONDROYD, Richard John 12 BingleyORMONDROYD, Robert Ian 12 BingleyPOLLARD, Sylvia Lund 69 BradfordPRICE, Herbert 78 ShipleyROBERTS, Amanda Jayne 20 BradfordSAMPSON, Jane 18 LeedsSTACEY, William 72 Sleaford, LincolnshireSTOCKMAN, Craig Albert 14 BradfordSTOCKMAN, Jane Ashley 16 BradfordSTOCKMAN, Trevor John 38 BrighouseTURNER, Howard Malcolm 41 BingleyTURNER, Sarah Elizabeth 16 BingleyWARD, Simon Neil 18 ShipleyWEDGEWORTH, Robert 72 GuiseleyWEST, William James 78 North Hykeham, LincolnWRIGHT, Adrian Mark 11 Bradford

.Williamson. 83,339
Terrible tragedy. I remember seeing a video on this, people were trying to get out through the fire escapes down the back of the stand but found they were locked, only to be trapped. This is more or less the video I mean: Didn't want to post it up in here but there is the link for anyone who may not be aware of what happened that day.Thought's are with the families and friend's of those lost, can't imagine how difficult these few day's must be. RIP all.

*Manticore* 1,893
I vividly remember it as well, it was a huge shock that such a thing could happen. The whole Stand went up in a matter of minutes, so many of the victims had no chance of getting away.Remember Rangers playing a fund raiser at Stamford Bridge a few days later (the following thursday iirc)? Nemesis 277
utterly horrific. Scan the names and you see quite a few families with generations wiped out. Truly horrifying to picture what those men would have felt as they tried in vain to save there children. Rest in Peace each and every one. Do them proud the City of Bradford. Ozblue 4,331
I could not think of a worse way for poor people to die, not that I can imagine any good way to die apart from in your sleep. That was truly horrific and my thoughts go out to the families of the deceased from that terrible day in the history of football.R.I.P.
