but Spain should have piled a few past them today had they had their shooting boots on the correct feet.

...the problem is they didn't,and now they have 0 POINT

Don't get me wrong m8 - I was rooting for the Swiss. I'm more than happy with that result, though you can't deny that Spain would most likely beat them 99 out of 100 times.

With the squad Spain have they should be winning the WC. Ramos, Pique, Puyol, Xavi, Alonso, Silva, Mata, Fabregas, Iniesta, Pedro, Navas, Torres, Villa... the talent is frightening!

Busquets over Fabregas is questionable but I suppose it's easy to say that in hindsight.

Fabregas might not have made a difference but he is better than Busquets IMO.

Guess his fitness might not be 100% as he wasn't even subbed on but then again, Torres, Navas and Pedro might have just been prefered.

Got a feeling, it'll be back to 4-4-2 for the next game.

How many teams have started this World Cup with a 4-2-3-1 formation and ended up struggling to win?

Holland struggled(although that's cos they lacked pace aswell), Italy had to change to 4-4-2 and Spain did the same today after Torres came on.

Quite a few very good managers getting their tactics wrong so far.

To leave Fabregas on the bench.. :anguish: :anguish: :anguish: :anguish:

not even him would have made any difference today.the swiss wanted tis victory and they got ut.simple as

Can score goals, direct, fantastic assist maker..

I think its safe to say he could of done something, start him in midfield with Xavi. Simple as.

You'd start Fabregas in the Brazil team if you could.

Fabregas > Felipe Melo, Gilberto Silva and Kaka (on present form).
