bombaybadboy08 15,660 Posted July 3, 2010 Share Posted July 3, 2010 FIFA have admitted Luis Suarez could potentially miss the rest of the World Cup after his handball against Ghana.The striker received a straight red for saving a goalbound-header on the line in extra-time, Asamoah Gyan missed the resulting penalty and Uruguay progressed to the semi-final after winning the shoot-out.Suarez will serve an automatic one-match ban, ruling him out of the semi-final with Holland. FIFA's disciplinary committee will discuss whether his suspension should be extended further, which could jeopardise his involvement in either the final or the third-place play-off.FIFA spokesman Pekka Odriozola said in a press conference: "For automatic red cards there is an automatic one-match suspension.
