RUSSIAN giants Lokomotiv Moscow are lining up a shock £3million-plus bid for Celtic striker Georgios Samaras.

Head coach Yuri Krasnozhan is doing his homework on the 26-year-old Greek international who signed a new three-year deal a few months ago.

Samaras has netted just seven goals this season but Krasnozhan likes the fact the has pace to burn and can also play wide.

If Lokomotiv make a move Celtic could bank three times what they paid for Samaras in July 2008.

We let Kris Boyd leave for nothing

Let Kenny Miller leave for £400,000

Let Charlie Adam leave for £500,000

Let Pedro Mendes leave for £1.5m

And them bastards will probably end up getting £3m for the Greek tranny. That's if anyone is interested in the trampy cunt.

Miller had five months left on his contract.

Samaras has just agreed a new three year deal that hasn't even started yet.

Slightly different situations.

Point taken but far too often we have sold ourselves ourselves short.

Hopefully this won't happen nearly as often in future now that Bain is gone and the new regime is in place. (tu)

Samaras has all the main attributes a world class striker requires strength, skill, pace and power. He can play as a lone striker or with a partner, and has sometimes played on the wing with Greece and Celtic. His height means he can play as a target man and he can be effective with his back to goal where he can bring others into play. He can also run at defenders with his pace. His weakness which prevents him from playing at a world class level is his consistency. He has always been known to be unplayable on his day, however he only occasionally fulfills his potential.

Someones clearly been editing wikipedia.
