RANGERS Football Club and the Rangers Charity Foundation are delighted to be welcoming to Ibrox around 300 armed services personnel and Erskine veterans in honour of Remembrance Day.

To commemorate the 93rd anniversary of the Armistice, representatives from each of the armed forces and a veteran from Erskine will lay a wreath at the John Greig statue and lead the teams onto the pitch ahead of the meeting with Dundee Utd on November 5.

As a tribute to all those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty Rangers players will also wear special poppy strips as a mark of respect on the day.

All those present from the armed forces and from Erskine will have the opportunity to go onto the pitch at half-time where they are sure to receive an amazing welcome from the Rangers support.

Erskine is the Foundation's Community Charity Partner for this season and the Foundation will aim to promote the work of the charity and raise £20,000 to fund projects centred round Erskine's Glasgow and Bishopton homes.

Erskine cares for 1,000 young and old ex-Service man and women a year, helping them rebuild shattered lives and providing specialist support.

The Rangers Charity Foundation is also hosting a can collection before kick-off in aid of veterans' charity Poppyscotland, which supports ex-Servicemen and women and their families.

This will help veterans in Scotland receive the care and support they urgently need so please show your appreciation for life's true heroes and give the club's guests from Erskine, the Army, Royal Navy and RAF the warmest of welcomes to Ibrox.

At least someone from the footballing world in these islands gives a fuck about these young heroes of ours. Im proud to be a supporter of such a great club and i show all my work mates down here in England as many videos as i can on you tube with the troops and their fantastic reception every time their at Ibrox.

Unfortunately all they care about is fucking X factor and facebook . We are the people and those scumbags across the city should hang their heads in shame the cunts
