boss 1,941
You never get full value in a liquidation fire sale and the assets were probably over-valued in the reports ... I doubt Ibrox would raise anything like the valuation it has in the books. I would reckon you're only looking at £10 million for Ibrox on the open market. This, except I understand you'd be lucky to get anything for Ibrox - it can only be used for its current purpose, and the costs of maintaining it are not insignificant. I know that sounds illogical, but I understand the Administrators' view of the value is nil.

Blue Army Faction 28
Time for BK to piss off and leave D&P to deal with people with decent amounts of money. If BK and TBK jointly can only raise £2 million in hard cash then why have they been wasting evryones time ?

boss 1,941
Well, I'm not aware of anything in the planning that would prevent Ibrox being re-developed ... obviously the Struth Stand would require sensitive handling, given its listed status.I don't disagree, but how much do you think a developer's life and family are worth? Would a developer actually make a bid knowing what would face him? Ibrox is like any asset - only worth what someone would pay. I haven't heard of anyone bidding for it which kind of proves the point to an extent.
gerslad93 0
kennedys a wank worth 600 million alone himself and that the best they can do as a consortium newco all the way its the same outcome eventually!

HG5 11,298
Well, I'm not aware of anything in the planning process that would prevent Ibrox being re-developed ... obviously the Struth Stand would require sensitive handling, given its listed status.Working around listed frontages adds massive amounts to the cost of redevelopment. That would mean building something that could be sold for a good value, or be used to generate substantial amounts of cash.Is Ibrox the place for Highbury style luxury flats (which they struggled to shift, I believe)? Is there any need/chance of developing a 'super casino' style complex, or has that boat sailed? Allanger 625
The blue knights and Kennedy have put in a lot of time and effort in an attempt to buy our club and for that they should be applauded. It would appear that they have submitted their final offer and as per the admins statement it has not been acceptable.Fair enough, but they should now step back and let the process take its course. The manner in which admin have extended timelines/deadlines etc in the past lead me to believe that if the blue knights/Kennedy could better the offers from the two consortium which are currently bidding, then that offer would be accepted even at the last minute. eosmhdo 1,879
That's a pathetic amount to bid.Not according to the protesters and their bid factored reaching the latter stages of the champs league I just heard on sky even though we are sort of banned from the competition.Honestly it's a fucking joke that bid.Good orators and cheap charlie businessmen the lot of themThats why they drive Bentleys and we don't i suppose

What a ridiculous statement that was from Kennedy. If Kennedy really wanted to buy us he would have done it well before now, it was a ridiculous statement! He keeps going on about saving us but has yet to put the required cash on the table (this from a guy who has enough money to own the whole of scottish football)! Bloorichtthru 24
BK has clearly misheard the instruction to "put your money where your mouth is", he heard "put your mouth where your arse is" and the end result is that he is talking shit. Offering zero investment, he is/was in this purely for profit.

Cadman 347
it makes me wonder if Paul Murray 'asked' Ticketus to approach Bill Ng then make it difficult for him to do a deal (remember Ticketus kept asking for more) until Ng got fed up and backed out. Was he also behind the convincing (via the RST) of Bill Miller that Rangers wasn't for him - like i said, makes me wonder. I also wonder if Souness and Walter were brought in to appease the fans when / if they discovered they couldn't go the CVA route and needed to Newco - which i feel has been their intention for some time (they never offered a bid that was financially sufficient for a successful CVA).I wonder, i wonder, i wonder ..... if i wonder too much

He needs to just stay away if he is not seriousI didn't understand much of his rant. He talks endlessly of how proud he is of Rangers, about how it's a great Scottish institution and yet when it comes down to it, his love doesn't extend to coughing over too many readies. Kennedy is worth millions - some here claiming £600 million, other estimates I've seen in the media have been nearer £250 million - and yet he only seems willing to part with a bit of loose change to save this "great institution" that he's so proud of. Hell, Mike Ashley, worth circa £1.3 billion, must've pumped about a quarter of that into Newcastle United.
