However, the team that would take our place (Dundee for finishing second in first division) have been in administration twice in recent years and only managed to exit admin after their CVA of 6p in £ was accepted. Not only did it go it the window, it landed on a road and was obliterated by a double decker bus. He then stood on the sidelines and celebrated as Ghana missed the penalty under the pressure and then got knocked out of the World Cup Finals.What are the repercussions of the "sporting integrity" in this instance?well, Ghana were denied a world Cup semi-final spot. I know we can never know for sure, but whos to say they couldn't win 2 more games and become World Cup winners? We'll never know. They were at the very least 1 game away from at least being in the final.Do not under-estimate what winnign a world cup, or at least going to a final, can do for a countries economy. At least in the short term, but in the long term, it could inspire an entire generation of Ghanians to become footballers. Ghana is a poor country; "27% of Ghana's population are living on less than $1.25 per day" <from wiki. We'll never know how many people lives could have changed had Ghana progressed to the semi final or final of the World cup.Sporting integrity in football? don't make me laugh. At no point has the SPL, SFA or any governing body published a definition of sporting integrity in football. Simply put, it's the latest buzz words. "Sporting integrity" in football is nothing more than an opinion that an individual has, and most likely a tainted one, based on their allegiance. The problem we have is defending ourselves against one's opinion. If "sporting integrity" suggests that there should be no special treatment for a specific club, the SFA have already overlooked this on multiple occasions. Motherwell, Hearts, Dundee, Livingston. 4 names that have all had serious financial difficulties yet, no mention of sporting integrity. Aberdeen are saved twice from being deservedly relegated, on fabricated technicalities, no mention of sporting integrity.Regardless, any breach of integrity was done by a PLC that no longer exists. The Rangers Football Club are a completely new entity who have simply aquired the footballing assets of the old PLC.
